Kausar Kuzhi Mandhi - Restaurant in Kottakkal - Malappuram, India

Last time I tried the peri peri Alfahm chicken mandhi, it was too good and really spicy . The mandhi rice is also well cooked and tastes good. The atmosphere is really good there. But i really struggled to find parking there, they only have a parking space for 3 cars, which is not a great thing.

I too heard about the recent news articles about Kausar, not only the Kottakal one, but also the Kozhikode. I doesn't feels anything bad about them. I have tried from both the Kausar, I felt Kottakal is better. The last time we tried the beef ribs Mandi, that was awesome. It's somewhat expensive, even though it's worthy. If I am not wrong it cost Rs200 for per person. I didn't try any other items from here, So I can't tell the quality of rest.

After having beef ribs and Mandhi rice from here I feel stomach upset later on. Followed by chronic diarrhoea. For this I need to spend around 1300 hospital Bill. I'm bit surprised they are adding more spice to the beef to mask the expiry of the beef. Very bad experience. I called them personally and said issue as the same happened with my friends also . Hopefully it may be resolved.

Kausar Restaurant is hands down one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! From the moment you step in, you're welcomed by friendly and attentive staff who truly make you feel at home. The food is absolutely fantastic - packed with flavor and always fresh. Their menu has a great variety of Rice dishes, and everything I've tried so far has been outstanding. I highly recommend their peri-peri chicken mandi it's one of the best I've ever had! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also top-notch. Not best ,but not bad. I tried almost every mandhi in and around kottakkal . After many reviews i tried kausar kuzhi manthi too. First of all interior design of shop is not good. Very narrow space feels congested. Service is good. Staffs are nice . I ordered chicken manthi , rice is good,mild flavour, side dips quality is excellent. Chicken is not upto mark, expected little more juicy and tender. And after eating food, no fullness feel or abd bloating.means better quality and no artificial flavours are used . Still nahdi mandhi ,white house mandhi, and Arabian majlis are fav list
