Katwa Junction is one of the most important railway stations in the eastern region of India. It is located in the city of katwa, in the state of West Bengal. Katwa Junction Station is a major station on the Katwa -Howrah main line and is also connected to major cities Howrah, Bandel, Barddhaman, Azimgunje, New Farakka in the eastern and northern regions of India. The platforms are clean and welllit, and there are plenty of seating areas for passengers waiting for their trains. But one thing hurts the view is there is less trees They can enhance the look of this Platform maybe in future. Anyways you get katwa to howrah local galloping and all the express from here. You have katwa bus stand just near. Walking distance. It's a junction what can i say more.

As a regular passenger of this station I personally have some views of my own. This is a station which is developing well but this is a junction station so some more features needed like more shops, pay and use toilets and an extra over bridge (Katwa station is too crowded to only one over bridge to take it as there is no sub-way) I hope Katwa junction will keep growing!

This is an important railway station at katwa sub division. Previously the city was known as Kanchan nagar .It has six platform. For going to Burdwan and Ahmedpur one has to be change train here. Station is neat and clean. Many sheds are there passengers amenities are well maintained.
