This temple is small but beautiful one.And added advantage is it is located on hills peak.it haa a beautiful view point .They also provide free meals in lunch time
Just 10 minutes trek need to reach this temple or another way also there where even four wheel vehicles also can reach this temple. We can see the whole coilpatti from here. it is looking good. And we can also see the gurumalai very near to this temple. Temple is very calm and as it is located in height, the wind also fine. Good place.
The Kathiresan Temple is situated on the western side of the town Kovilpatti on the top of a hill. Very peaceful location. Vel is in the sanctum and it is worshipped. There are separate Sannathis for Vinayakar, Balathandayuthapani and Kalsbhairavar. In the ancient days, when the traders from Kovilpatti went to Kadirkamam of Sri Lanka, they brought the sand of that Kadirkamam Murugan Temple here and built this Kathiresan Temple. This place is very pious. Adequate car parking is available. No shops here. Even pooja things we have to purchase from the downstairs of the hill. Neatly maintained.
beautiful place with the full view of kovilpatti.when we visit there with family we will feel the relaxation and refreshness of relieve from city life.all religious people can visit and enjoy the view .please maintain this place properly.the saddest thing is too many drinkers sitting besides the way of temple.need to care on that one.overall good place to visit.
