I recently went on a Kashmir trip with Pala. The hotel was good at Pahalgam and boathouse was good. However, the hotel at Srinagar had severe electricity issues. Electricity wasn't there for a lot of time and the hotel staff did not on geyser and room heater at that time. We had to ask them repeatedly for simple things like bucket, slippers, etc. The driver and guide was good and helped in bargaining throughout the trip. ** We asked the same driver to drop us at Pathankot whereas our actual drop location was Jammu. So, the car rerouted from Udhampur and instead of going to Jammu directly went to Pathankot. This was a 70km extra from the actual package route. When we asked about the price for extra kms, he said to give whatever you like. We trusted him and thought that 2000 (which is good enough for 70km) plus a 1000 tip would be enough, since we had made a good connection throughout the trip. But after reaching Pathankot, he asked for a total of 6000 rupees. We argued that this is so much for extra 70km, but he said that he wont stay here at night, he has to go to Jammu only. So cost includes Pathankot to jammu as well. We couldn't say anything as we had already availed the service. This incident is not related to Pala Tours and travel, hence not reducing point in review. But, please be aware and do not trust the drivers blindly, however good they were and however good connection you have made and always define the rate beforehand.

We have visited Valley of Kashmir last year Nov 2018 through Pala Holidays. The arrangements made by Mr. Irfan were simply mind-blowing. One very important part what I want to share with you all is that the guide and driver which are provided by Pala Holidays are very decent and they know each and every part of Kashmir valley and they guided us and as well as showed those places which I have never heard of or seen. Absolutely Fabulous Kashmir! It's really had been a life-long ambition to visit Kashmir as beautifully illustrated in various books, magazines, movies and video clips. Thanks to our travel agency, Pala Holidays and our super guide, Mr. Farhan, the trip turned out to be a memorable one. The response we got from Mr. Ifran (of Pala Holidays) was prompt and all of the dealings were frank and honest. A lot was being said on the media about the unstable political environment and presence of many soldiers, but nothing deterred us from making the time of our lives. No doubt, we were a bit nervous of how the trip would turn out, but every time we stepped in to our private transport and went to places like Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonmarg, those nagging worries were the last thing on our minds. We spent the daytime exploring the ever-changing picture perfect landscapes, finding out more about the culture, tasting authentic Kashmiri foods and meeting many people who lived in this magnificent environment. Everyone had a different tale to tell about the land. I will never forget the first day we landed. We saw earthly snow fall from the sky for the first time. The snow wasn't that deep but we sure felt very happy with what Mother Nature had to offer. The ride on the snow mobile at Gulmarg was like a hairy experience. Finally, when the flight took off from Kashmir airport we took one last look down at the majestic hills which is all part of this wonderful Earth, we began to feel humble and how we were about to leave a civilization behind. I do wish to return again someday to see the beauty and the uniqueness of Kashmir, when the weather becomes warm, nature turns green, the flowers bloom and the rivers start flowing. It is another must-see on my bucket list.
