It's a run down port, with a few fishing trawlers . A great place to check out the local catch as the fisherman off load their bounty. Not a safe place for kids as the peer floor is cracked. The harbour does make for a great photo op. Also got featured in roja movie

Thalangara is one of the most beautiful places in the entire state of Kerala but, unfortunately, the people living in this locality are very rude and uncivilized. You can enjoy the place only from 6.00 am to 7.00 am and the remaining part of the day, the whole locality is occupied by rowdy elements roaming around in fancy cars. Thalangara is the meeting point of River Chandragiri with the Arabian Sea. There is a cute fishing harbour here along with a little park and police station. The police station road is spectacular for a walk but the whole locality is infested by noisy youth during the evenings.

Nice place but one problem,this is old harbour located in thalangara and now its destroying stage...authority persons not care this place...
