This was a place started by Mother Theresa. The Brothers there are quite l loving and nice. There is Holy Mass in the morning at 6.30 am. If anyone is coming to Fort Kochi or passing through Moolamkuzhy just go in there and talk to them. They will also feel quite good.

Karunalaya is a destitute home run by Missionaries of Charity founded by St.Teresa of Calcutts. In the year1986 January 13th three m.c Brothers from calcutta established this home to look after the sick and aged destitute male of Cochi.Karunalayam at present have forty two such men who are from the streets and railway stations .The Brothers care them with love and respect as persons with dignity as if 'Jesus disguised in distress'. Saint Teresa of Calcutta visited this home in 1988 and 1994 and blessed and inspired the local community and the poor around. The simple life style and work among the poorest of the poor were a source of inspirations to all the peoples. Over the years around eight hundred men have been served with dignity of life and love in Karunayam.
