Karna Lake Karnal - Park in Uchana - Karnal, India

Great place for picknick spot ... although all the area of karnal is clean but this place also looks very clean and airy ... greenery surrounded it all over this lake is full of fishes bucks tortillas ducks .... Many ancient Vedic acharya statues are situated hear all made up of bronze ... in between the pond a curve shape house is available between the lake there are a lot of bats are hanging upon the trees that thing I first ever saw ... clean and cold breez are flowing here... it is situated in front of DAV public school ... only 1.2 ~1.4 km away from karnal bus stand and only 400~500 m away from NH44 highway you can easily go there by foot .....

It is very nice place to visit, specially with family. There is kids zone, boating, and canteen available. For kids zone game and fun charges are 50-100 and boating start with 300, can change as per time. I would recommend to go there for mood fresh for those who can't go so far. Very pleasant.

Very nice place to visit with family and friends. Lake is large. A lot of ducks and fish are there. EV Charging station available here. A restaurant cum bar maintained by Haryana tourism is also there. Well maintained park with swings, sitting areas and couple friendly points. Boating is available at reasonable prices. It is very neat and clean place. One may enjoy weekend evenings here. Not much crowded. Karna Lake is a major tourist attraction in the Karnal district of Haryana. It is located at a distance of 125 km from both Chandigarh and Delhi, thus serving as a midway halt while traveling between the two cities on the famous Grand Trunk Road. Folklore has it that Karna, a famous character from Indian history, who played a major role in the war of Mahabharat, used to bathe in this lake. It was at this spot that he gave away his protective armor to Indra, the Godfather of Arjuna, Karna's arch-enemy. It is surmised that the city of Karnal derives its name from Karna-Taal, which translates to Karna Lake. That may also be the reason for Karnal to be called the City of Karna in local parlance.

Go in the evenings for a quiet boat paddling adventure. You will definitely get to see some ducks on your water ways. If you can't paddle they have a motorboat on board. Prices are reasonable and food and other kids activities are there to be explored.

Going to karna lake is a total wastage of time. The lake lacks cleanliness though you can do boating. Hardly any item mentioned in the long list displayed outside the fast food joint is actually available. The whole place is very unkempt and you feel there is just nobody to look after it. Noone seems to be bothered. Being under state tourism department such utter neglect is very disappointing and it is strongly recommended not to visit the spot and waste your time

Quite place for a day picnic. Boat ride is available. We stayed at the resort of Haryana Tourism, which is on the lake itself. So you can view the lake day and night . Great experience.

Karan lake is good place to visit with family for a short trip and you will have a great lunch , dinner options here and the boating areas so good hair you will try different types of boats and if you are with kids they will find amazing fun there the park is also very good so you can do picnic here with Lake view and the quack quack of duck so the kids will play with them. And no tension of parking is totally free ... Must please to visit if you are going through this area

A lot has changed here now, had been last in 2012, beautification done around the lake, but lake s still not clean, people litter everywhere in the country. Overall nice place must visit
