Everyone talks of the Hamams here but I scrolled through all the photos and found exactly ONE. So here are some more , beautiful carvings and paintings from the roof of the Hamams. It's a bit dark and through narrow steps.
Located inside the Gwalior fort that was built by Kirti singh who was also known as Karn Singh and thus the name. The palace is the best specimen of Hindu architecture. It has a complete arrangement of women's baths named Hamam on the ground floor of the palace.
The Karan mahal is another significant monument at Gwalior Fort. The Karn mahal was built by the second king of the Tomar dynasty, Kirti Singh 1480-1486. He was also known as Karn Singh, hence the name of the palace is Karn Mahal. It is Two story and rectangular shaped and a large pillar is in the middle of the palace. It is not clean and well maintained.
Another beautiful palace inside the fort but not at all maintained properly. This palace needs renovation as it was not neat plus smelling very badly inside.
Karn Mahal was constructed by Kirti Sing, who was the second ruler of the Tomar Dynasty. It is a hindu style made with two storey and rectangular base. The Karn is a fine example of hindu style architecture inside in the Gwalior fort.
