My all time favourite hangout place. Lots and lots of nostalgic memories.
A nice place to hang out all by yourself or with friends or family. Much cleaner than marina beach. Also a beautiful neighborhood. Crowded almost during all time of the day. But still totally worth a visit, the memorial and the beach as well.

This memorial is situated in the middle of the Edward Elliot beach . This memorial has been renovated recently . You can see it from outside . No entry fee here and any one can come here. There are a parking area too on the beach road . This memorial was built in the memory of Denmark based sailor Karl Schmidt who died by drowning in the sea while he was trying to save the life of an English Girl on 30th Dec, 1930. After that Governor of Madras , George Fedrick decided to built this memorial for his gallantry and bravery .
The history of the place is so inspirational. A monument in honor of the one who lost his life saving one who's drowning. Weekday early mornings here are so nice. You can see the sun rise through to make some great pics. Evenings are always crowded during weekends. Nearby this, you can also find pigeons fed by some bird lovers every morning. It is a sight to behold with the fluttering sound and backdrop of this monument.
Last time I was here it was in a bad shape but now it is restored quite well yet locked to the public
It was my weekend and my friend recommended me to visit this place the weather are so hot but very peaceful and beautiful there is lots of puppies no owner we like to play with that I love it we buy and give food to those puppy what a beautiful memories that day, water are not clean but enjoying view we enjoy alot do visit free time and enjoy your day with beautiful view
Very neatly maintained place. Previously there was a board installed here with the details of the monument but it is missing now. A lot of people come here for taking selfies or photos.
