KARIM'S ( Original From Jama Masjid Delhi 6 ) - Salt Lake - Restaurant in Kolkata - 24 Paraganas North, India

Nice ambience and courteous helpful staff. Food is good. The reason I am giving 3 star is different. Whenever we think of Karims from Jama masjid Delhi, we always feel nostalgic about their culinary gourmet. The quality and only the awesome lip smacking finger licking quality which haunts us to go there again. And again. That quality is very much missing here. The food is not bad, but you can get very similar food almost in every good Indian restaurant in Kolkata. This is in no way Karim's quality or taste. Their price is quite steep too in terms of portion size.

We loved everything about this place. From food to hospitality and atmosphere everything is good. We had chicken biryani and afghani chicken kebab. Both were scrumptious and must have. Had an authentic kolkata style biryani after so long. It was flavourful and had right amount of spice. Afghani kebab was juicy and mild sweet, exactly how it should be. Price was reasonable of all items. Matched my expectations. They have newly opened a branch at Newtown axis mall. Can't wait to visit there as well.

Newly opened restaurant for Biriyani lovers in salt lake. The Ambiance is average. The service is not so good. Can be better . The food was delicious. Anytime better than most Biriyani stores . We have ordered just a few items .The Fish Tikka was very fresh. Fish needs to be fresh if you can anyone .The Biriyani is a must try. Mutton Nihari was amazing and very rich with flavour. The Alu Paratha was good too. The Raita was on the house. Overall 6/10 . Just wish the service was better and the Mutton Nihari had more meat than bones. Place is a bit expensive

Excellent food. Especially the boti biriyani and burra kabab. Roni was very cordial and helpful. He served us and we are fully satisfied with his help and cooperation during our visit at Karim's.

The ambience is really very good !! The taste of food is just awesome !! All the items were at a reasonable price !! Staffs are well behaved and polite !! We tried - 1. Fresh Lime Soda , Masala Cold Drinks. 2. Kolkata Gosht Dum Biryani ( Special ). 3. Chicken Jahangiri. 4. Karim's Kebab Platter ( 10 pcs.) . Mutton and chicken pieces were juicy , fresh and solid !! Kebabs were cooked very well.....tastes really good !! Overall I loved the food here !! One must visit and try the items !! Highly recommended !!

Starters & mocktail were delicious. The Raan Biriyani was not up to the mark, the mutton piece was very hard & undercooked. Mutton side diah was ok, not very superior in taste. Expecting to upgrade the food quality from this restaurant.

Food: Delicious Recommendations: Murg Tangdi (starter: I loved it), Chicken Jehangiri and Garlic Naan. Edit: Kadhai chicken was also good. (We tried on our second visit. However, not recommending Afghani chicken. It's too creamy. Service: Quick Staffs: Kind and courteous. Ready to serve the food. Hygiene: On point. Ambience: Nice. Light music. Perfect for family. Overall, you can definitely come here with your family. Delhi wali taste kaffi had tak mil jayegi (after spending a decade in Delhi). Suggetsion: They should serve atleast onion salad with main course.

We had Dinner. The restaurant dates back from Delhi Jama Masjid area. The biriyani was yummy the mutton was sucullent. We ordered mutton peshawari it was also great. The bread selection is also nice.
