Its very good spot for viewing Pink Flamingo up close in their natural habitat. Pink Flamingo season starts from Jan to early March. Mornings are less crowded and better.
There are many places around the Navi mumbai to watch these birds. This one is good but needs to be maintained by people & authority. Garbage & littering is the main problem.Otherwise The view & location is good.
Nice place, the approach road is a bit narrow for cars, comfortable for bikes thou. Cool breeze in the evening. Little bit of a lovers lane, you can see some couples here and there. Flamingos are seen during their migration season. Other times nice place to just sit and relax.
Navi Mumbai is also known as flamingo city and this is one of best flamingo point in Navi Mumbai. Other than flamingo's, you will see painted stork, seagulls, gray horn bill etc. If you're bird lover then must visit this place. Seawood is the nearest railway station and from here you have to take a Autorickshaw. Landmark is T. S. Chanakya.
A beautiful sight A must visit place! Lucky to have Spotted so many flamingos!It's better to take two wheeler if possible as parking can be an issue during weekends and you might have to wait sometime to get parking space.
Hidden gem in Nerul, beautiful back water specially when Pink Flamingoes are around. I visited in June 1st week and the place was full with Pink Flamingoes. These are lesser pink flamingo. Which are shorter in height comparatively to Greater Pjnk Flamingoes . Avoid going at Night time as the place might not be safe due to secluded area.
Though I don't DSLR photos of flamingo yet I clicked from mobile phone. It was beautiful Sunday morning when it was cloudy and bit rainy early morning, visited here to enjoy the birds. This place is kind of speechless one to come and witness the beautiful flamingo sea gulls and other cranes.
