A must worshiped temple in karaikal.. Need not to travel much as the temple is on the road... So no car parking facility... karaikal ammaiyar history portrayed....inside another gopuram, where somanather alayam shall be worshipped

This temple is located in the town area and park your vehicle opposite to the temple, has enough space for . We couldn't find the poojarai during our visit and it wasn't crowded, only few people around. Not to be missed place

Located in the heart of Karaikal city, this temple is a main landmark in Karaikal. The temple's pond is well renovated and full of fish, making it an evening entertainment destination in the city. All kinds of hotels and commercial establishments are located around this place. Parking is a bit difficult to find here. Maangani festival of this temple is world famous.The festival happening in the Tamil month of Aani.

I was there on a weekday. The temple was maintained well. The temple area has been entirely commercialized. The businesses are so crowded that you'll think the temple board/door has to be found between two shops. I would advise you to avoid driving to the temple. Because the roads around the temple are so narrow, parking becomes extremely difficult. I parked on a little street near the temple. Parking the car near the temple requires some skill. The roads close to the temple are extremely busy.

Good Temple to visit nearby. Next to temple a good pond with walking track is very attractive. Opposite to temple one more holy temple is there for visit. Vehicles can be parked near by lanes.No congestion

Beautiful and peaceful place to relax at Karaikal. The place is very neat and clean for walking. Best place to bring kids. You could see lot of fishes in the lake. You can feed them. There is also footpaths paved in the 8 style and is good for healthy walking. Evening is the best time. Easily noticeable from the main road and is next to Ammaiyar temple.
