Karai dam - Tourist attraction in Karai - Ahmadabad, India

Looking for peaceful place to relax. Here it is. Best time to visit is evening. The flow of water is soothing. Though it's beautiful place, people don't follow rules so police frequently do checking and petroling.. so don't spread garbage in the river, stay away from danger zone. Enjoy the view with distance, and it's not honeymoon place, don't go with partner to do such a shameful act. Go but bring some manners...

Karai Dam is situated at Nana Chiloda in Gandhinagar. Distance from Ahmedabad to Karai Dam is 20 Km. Karai Dam's timing is 10 am to 6 pm. Karai Dam is the best place for Ahmedabad weekend gateway and weekend short trips to Gandhinagar. Visit Karai Dam for exciting water fall. Karai dam area is very quite and peaceful. You can literally feel the love of the nature. Karai dam is a nice place for long drive with friends and family.

Nice place to hangout with friends such a peaceful environment, it is situated near narmada canal, i visited here for a cycling trip with some of my friends, i visited here twice till now and was satisfied both the times. We even took a bath in the dam as the time we visited the flow of the water was low. I would recommend not to take a bath here as the flow of water is not low always its very high most of the time's. Even though its a restricted area but no one will do any case on you if you visit here.Must visit once!! I've attached the photos of both the trips in you can clearly see the difference in the flow of the water!!

Karai Dam is Located in the Nana Chiloda area of Gandhinagar, Karai Dam is a popular destination in Ahmedabad for both tourists and folks alike. The calm environment of the area makes it a perfect refuge to get away from all the cacophony of the streets and indulge in a calm detour. People usually come here when they feel the need to interact with nature or have a nice picnic party with family. Even if you are alone, a nice book reading sessions is always a tempting option to choose. The best time to visit the place would be during monsoons and winters when the waterbody and its surrounding area experiences its bloom. It is one of the least commercialised tourists spots in the city, hence finding shops around may be a task. Better come with your own food and enjoy a sumptuous meal in the lap of nature. You can visit between 09:00am to 06:00pm. There is no entry fees or parking fees..

This is a wonderful site with lots of greenery, however visiting the dam can be risky, so use caution. In addition, Sunset is fantastic; don't miss it.

Excellent place if u will go by early morning,. Must take water and eatables, avoid visiting alone prefer group. Good place for photography..

Karai dam is located on narmada canal l, nana chiloda, Gandhinagar. From here the water from narmada canal meets sabarmati river. Very peaceful place. Visit in early morning or in the evening. You will love the calm environment and the sound of water here. Avoid visiting alone, Must visit in group. Don't enter in the water. It's deep and you will never know when the water level increase. Watch the view from a safe distance. Good place for photography. Don't take risk to take some dangerous selfies. Just enjoy the view of nature.
