Kapu Beach - Beach pavillion in Kaup, Padu - Udupi, India

I was very impressed by this beach. There was ample paid parking and the beach is well developed. Many food and drink stalls plus well marked toilets. There is a section of beach marked safe to swim. The beach is very clean and well maintained. The light house next to beach is an attraction and is open in the evenings only. The views from top would be amazing Ideal time is to come early in the morning or during sunset

Awesome experience we had !! The beach is different with large rocks all around and the famous lighthouse standing tall at the top of the rocky hillock !! There's a lot of public transport options available but can be visited by personal vehicles as well. Well maintained parking lots and various stalls for beverages available in the entrance. The whole beach has been nicely maintained. Sunset from the beach and from the top of the lighthouse is the most popular activity !! Great place to visit with family and friends !!

Absolutely loved our visit to Kapu Beach in Udupi! The beach is simply stunning with its clear sand, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. The cleanliness of the beach was impressive, creating a pleasant environment for everyone. The iconic lighthouse adds a touch of charm to the landscape, and the backdrop of swaying coconut trees enhances the coastal beauty. The breathtaking sunset is a sight to behold, and spending a couple of hours here with family was pure bliss. If there's a chance to enter the lighthouse, that would be the cherry on top of an already amazing experience. Highly recommended for a serene and memorable beach outing!

The lighthouse visiting timing is from 5 pm to 6.30 pm. They switch on the light after that. Once again as expected from south beaches, very clean white and blue. There are auto-stands outside the beach and they work on meters.

Beautiful, clean. Had lighthouse, food stalls, camel, horse ride, boating, chair/umbrella on rent. Peaceful, not much crowd. Lighthouse entry ticket rs.10 for Indian, rs.25 for foreigners. I came from mangalore by bus to udupi and Kaup stop I get out. From there, auto fro beach in Rs.50. Even at beach, there are many auto. Also parking for two and four wheeler. Enjoy

The beach is very Clean and one of the must visit beaches. It has a very beautiful lighthouse that you can visit. Huge rocks on the beach submerges in the sea make the beach very beautiful and a very good place for Photo and Videography oriented people. A Must visit Recommendation.

We are here at the wrong time cause it's raining and we can't enjoy walking in the water because of high tide. Apart from this the atmosphere is really nice, calm and peaceful. We spend our time sitting near the beach and lighthouse. The lighthouse opening time was 5.15 pm to 6 pm and they charged for the entry in the lighthouse.
