Best place to get Kerala cuisine in Chennai. Was recommended to try the Toddy Shop Memories set and it turns out great and more than I expected. Those small dishes are actually quite appetising and being a foreigner, the staff actually teaches me to how to dine and enjoy the food. Truly a remarkable experience.
The best thali I have eaten in Chennai. Excellent fish and prawns. Even the desserts are super. Don't miss the chilli icecream and tender coconut pudding.

There are not many hotels I prefer to go to again and again. But KCK is the exception. Kerala food. All their dishes are yummy. Especially that ilaneer pudding - cloud pudding. And their assortment of mocktails are also delicious. Simple and warm interior decor. Courteous service. Valet parking. Pricing is slightly on the higher side. I like the huge lobster outside.
Visited Kappa chakka kandhari on Friday. The hotel ambience was good. The food cuisine is based on Kerala and kanyakumari. The taste was wonderful. We have tried fish, chicken stew, mutton curry, carb, prawns, chicken puttu, appam, idiyappam and satti sooru. But the starter quantity is very less. The main course was unlimited only if you order one combo per head. Only the Appam, idiyappam and other main courses are unlimited, but the starter la were in very limited quantity. One dessert and one soft drink will be offered with a combo meal. Try this hotel only for groups of 2 to 4 members. Veg combo will start from 800+ and non veg combo starts from 850 to 2200.
Had a taste of Kerala. Every dish was absolutely mouth-watering. Good ambience. Staff was very friendly.
**NEVER EVER VISIT THIS PLACE** Too costly and very less quantity food. Most positive reviews are by Malayalis. I paid Rs.1,500 for the food in the photos.
