The temple is so peaceful and located beside the beach. Only traditional dresses are allowed for both men and women.(men should remove their shirts inside the temple) They charge you Rs20 during darshan to skip the queue and can go close to the Devi vigraham.

Good place. I loved the fact that unlike eastern and Northern India they do not force the devotees to buy offerings from them or offer anything to devi. If you want you can, otherwise no one forces you. Male devotees must go bare chest inside temple. Women can wear any traditional cloth. Temple closes in the noon and open in the afternoon again till 8 pm.

the temple holds such a divine peace, and is located beside the beach. In order to skip queue, they charge an additional amount of 20rs per person. However this allows you to get a close view of the devi. The nose ring that devi has is said to be a powerful mark in the history of Kanyakumari ,and is worshipped for its power. It holds such a beautiful aura. The architecture, the walls ,everything is designed so well and is maintained with the same pureness. Prasad can be obtained from the counters outside, which costs around 100-150.

One of the holy and important places to visit in kanyakumari. It should be in the number one list in the itinerary for those who visit kanyakumari. It's good to visit early in the morning since it will be much crowded during the day. The temple will close at 12:30 pm and again reopens at 4:30pm. Shirt/t shirt or banyan is not allowed for men devotees, no dress code for women. No rules for bottom wear in men. Good view of Vivekananda Rock memorial from the back side of the temple. Do not forget to visit kanyakumari beach and triveni sangam at the back side of the temple.
