Kanthanpara Waterfalls - Tourist attraction in Meppadi - Wayanad, India

Easy access and good parking. Can be crowded on weekends. The waterfall itself (approx 30m height) flows gracefully and has a peaceful feel to it. Be careful with the slippery rocks near the base and watch the signages for the depth of water when swimming. One place was shown as 10m deep!

A beautiful waterfall at Wayanad. I have visited this waterfall many times before and it was much better then. They have developed the place now with proper railings and parking lot, but earlier we could see the fall from up close and even walk through the bamboo canopy. There were people playing in the water here. Beware of the monkeys.

Nature in its full mood while creating this spot. The waterfall is surrounded with Lush green and thick jungle. There is a paved path and steps up to the waterfall. Life guards are also present at the fall.

Worth visiting this waterfall. Not advisable to get into the water as the flow is heavy, but you can still get very close to the stream. The stones are slippery, so better to go barefoot and enjoy immersing your foot into the cold water.

A small waterfall with two phases in the stream. The first phase has a greater base for people to go and get wet. The second phase has the fall where one can take enjoy the sound of ecstasy ...the falling water! But do carry cash.

I recently visited a smaller waterfall that, while not suitable for bathing, offered a charming and serene experience. This petite waterfall may not be a grand spectacle, but it has its own unique charm.

The entire waterfall and area will be in a walkable distance of 100 mts. Tourists are not allowed to entre the waterfalls now.

This waterfalls is one of the best tourist attraction of Wayanad. this one can be covered on the way of edakkal cave or Karappuzha dam. the waterfalls easily accessible and you don't need to hike or something. The entry timings are 9 am to 5pm.
