Kannur West Beach Homestay - Home Stay in Thottada - Kannur, India

We absolutely loved our stay here! It's in a unique beautiful remote location, but still manages to be a just a 5m walk from a practically deserted beach, or 10m walk from a temple, bus stop and small supermarket! The greatest luxury was the kindness of our hosts Shah and Jisi, who cooked us fantastic veg and non veg food everyday for breakfast and dinner, and were always there to happily help us with anything. A relaxing, beautiful experience, we would definitely love to return! Thanks Shah and Jisi :)

Mr. Sha who is the host is a very hospitable man. He was kind enough to show us around the area, have the fish that we purchased cooked for us and provide details of places that we could visit from there. The location is a very calm and serene place surrounded by trees and the beach being 1km far. The room is a basic one. Overall, a good place for a family vacation.

Very nice place to stay for a while. Have been there twice before. The hospitality is very good. Rooms are spacious and clean. Beach is 10 mins walk from the resort. Breakfast of complimentary and the rest of the meals they provide home made of your choice. We had sea food and the taste was excellent. The hosts were really nice.

Really really good place to stay for a while. It was really a calm and peaceful experience. The hospitality was at its best. The rooms and premises are so clean. The food is worth a try- both homely& economical. Beach is very clean and the distance is..a 5 min walk or so and is like private beach as many hasn't explored it seems. Those who likes beaches will truly like the place altogether! To be frank, the room was up to the mark 9/10 as it was spacious calm and clean. The location is more peaceful than populous. All the amenities were good and the staffs were so pleasing and sincere to make the travel cozy and ease.

If you're looking for some alone time to write or do creative work, then this place is for you. It's far from the town and it is a safe and a quiet place. The hosts served authentic Kerala food and were both hospitable and warm.

This is not a fancy beach house. But it's located close to beach and mangrove. The best part is the host Mr Sha. Very supportive and awesome host. Although i don't know Malayalam, I was able to speak in some Tamil language I knew and we had great conversation about many things. Beach is walkable and there is a bridge over the backwater. Food was excellent. Overall, landscape of the Homestay can be improved.

I totally love the whole experience. I stayed here for 4 days and it's a very peaceful place if you want to spend time in serenity. The beach is nearby plus extremely quiet. The people here were really nice, helpful and friendly. The owner of the place is an extremely kind, genuine person and the food is great to experience the local cuisine so I would recommend staying here.

Excellent and quiet place for a retreat stay. Beach is 10 min walk which again isn't crowded. Deepa (Owner) was very helpful and approachable. Ali (Care taker) is another level humble and nice guy. He made this stay more enjoyable with his service and approachable nature. Food quality and serving experience at the shade was awesome. Must use his food service if you are staying there. Suggestions: Water flow at first floor bathroom and flush was very low and need fixing.
