Kannanthura Beach - Public beach in Thiruvananthapuram - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Good place for sightseeing and a calm Atmosphere. The place is where the river/lake and sea meets and brings an exquisite sight. The only issue seems the waste and plastic that settles near the sea. All the waste we throw away at rivers can be seen there and the lives of the people living near the coast is actually made difficult by these waste. There should be adequate waste disposal methods to avoid these or these wastes or deposits should be collected and disposed of to provide more beautiful sight for onlookers. Loved the place and the view it offered. Recommended. Very peaceful and calm place. This beach isn't much crowded like other beaches. Mainly this beach has the guests of the hotels nearby which are premium hotels. Very neat and clean beach. I was here for three days and a walk in the beach in the morning is a wonderful experience. You can also watch men fishing at this beach in the morning. It's a must to see. The tides are really strong in the evening and the restaurants nearby provides you with table near to the beach. So you can enjoy the beach and have food. It's a beautiful place

The water is so clear and blue, the sand is soft and clean, and the surrounding cliffs and scenery are simply breathtaking. There's a great atmosphere to the whole area, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and cafes to explore. This beach is definitely a another level. The view is just beyond awesome. Cliff makes this place a ultimate one. Less crowded mostly foreigners. Clear beach good for sun tan time. Plenty of shops and parking space.

Its good therr is a church near that and we can see so much boat's amd fishing gears there

Awesome fishermen. shore catching scene early morning on Tuesdays. It's called karavala in Malayalam and tamil.people stand in a c shape and gradually progress towards one another to get hold of the net. Today's catch was king fish small and murul.worth watching.but for fishermen it's not rewarding as it goes for a cheap sum.

Beautiful clean beach with absolutely no pollution, and from where a beautiful sunset van be viewed on a cloudless evening... There are very few tourists visiting the area, since there are only a couple of homestays here. So one can relax on the beach and take in the serenity of the surroundings without someone or the other disturbing you with noise or clicking selfies... The Kananthura St Peter's Church is nearby.

An under utilised beach area in Thiruvananthapuram. Situated behind the Kannanthura Church, which has a strong base for a revamp. Request the government to take initiative to transfer the local beach to a tourist destination. The beach is hardly 10 minutes walkable from the shankhumukham beach through the shores. Good for an evening walk, enjoying with family.
