Kanke Dam Park - Park in Ranchi - Ranchi, India

Once a peaceful place, now just a dam. Still can provide the serenity you are looking for. There are stairs made to the dam on the other side. The park charges 10/- entry. The alley made above is free to walk on, but it's a covered pathway straight from one gate to another. Rest the park is clean and boatings are available. One shop is there, for food and water. Cheap and small park with Kanke dam's view. The sunset looks mesmerising there. It's below rock garden. Nothing much is there to see. Parking area is provided.

The view of sunset in the evening also looks very beautiful here. If you are in a mood to eat fish, you can also take fresh fish from the other side of the dam

Place is full of potential. Beautiful water body, rocks, well made park with various facilities which are either not functional or not well kept. Tourism department, Govt of Jharkhand needs to put sincere efforts for maintaining it properly.
