Kanishka Restaurant - Vegetarian restaurant in Jaisalmer, Kishan Ghat - Jaisalmer, India

We had dinner at this restaurant on 28th November 2022. Enjoyed the ambience, taste of food and above all the service. We liked the 'open to sky' provision in the dining area. Hanging lamps gave a heritage look. Tharun Bhaiya served us well by explaining about each and every dish. We are from Chennai. Liked to relish local Rajasthani dishes. We enjoyed the way he explained us on how to eat 'Dal Bhati Churma' the traditional way. General opinion about this place is that the price is high. But we felt 'value for money'. If you visit there after reading my review say hello to Tharun Bhaiya and enjoy his service.

This is the place if you are looking for a hygienic place and wish to have pure vegetarian food in Jaisalmer. Food is tasty and staff is helpful. Don't look anywhere else as we tried multiple restaurants having better reviews on Google.

Food was not fresh. We ordered paneer tikka masala and it was very oily and it had clearly gone bad in smell and taste but they denied it and said it's fresh. We did not eat it but we paid for it. Missi roti was okay but overall experience bad. Try Shree jee right opposite. They have excellent food and service.

sawai Singh is worst person, for this food Theka, ( restaurant), Make sure have 3 hours to eat food, if you are 10+ person, Make sure you talk first to owner for fast service, Sev bhaji don't have sev in it... Dal don't have salt in it.... Staff behavior not good....

The service is a bit slow but the food is authentic and very tasty. They serve pure veg food and their dal baati is amazing, the churma needs a little but of an improvement but overall our experience was good. The ambience at night looks really good. This place usually remains very crowded so you need to set some waiting time aside while visiting. We ordered the following dishes: Kadhi (9/10) Ker Sangri (7/10) Dal Baati Churma (9/10) Bajra Roti (7/10) Gatta Curry (10/10)

Have visited this restaurant two times in total, both times it was just because either the opposite restaurant shree jee was closed or overcrowded. The taste is not at all up to the mark. They even refused to serve normal water this time round. The ambience is very very nice and cosy. All and all, not a good package if you are specifically looking to calm your hunger.

Good ambience and clean hotel. Food was also tasty. But using some other oil in the name of butter in butter roti.
