Kamatchi Mess - Chettinad restaurant in Pattukkottai - Thanjavur, India

One of the best Non Vegetarian hotel in Pattukkottai/Thanjavur District. Located at near by Court/Bus Stand (Walkable distance only). Meals (Lunch) menu is excellent. Various types of Non Vegetarian gravies are serving by them one by one in the Lunch. All are tasty especially Dry Fish Gravy (Karuvadu Thokku) is extraordinary. Fish fry also good. Service and Response is good.

You can ride a bike here. But if you drive a car, park it somewhere else and walk. Busy place with running waiter and waitress Find yourself a seat or the attendant will help you find one. Good for family as well. A family with 6 members that is. If it is more than 10 member family, be prepared to sit on different table. A bit higher on the price. A meal with side-dish is the standard combo for 340 rupees. Additional price for each side dish. Reasonable people. They reduced one meal price for us to 60 rupees, since one of us were vegetarian. Chettinad style food with taste I haven't tried. Mind my words:"i haven't tried" but readers might have had it before. Definitely worth a try. In my opinion I will go here for the more than thrice for the Mutton Brain masala and the Kaadai 65. Awesome taste. Also , the kitchen is very authentic and village style. For a change try south indian rather Chinese or other cuisine. Karuvaadu thokku is ultimate and legion ahead of other dishes.

The food is really good and also the workers too. But the management is very poor. I coudnt rate -5 rating. The cost of meal is Rs. 250, but u have to compulsorily buy extra nonveg even if ur not hungry... They show their attitude to the customer, which is not good for their business. A kite can fly only when its thread is strong.... Good luck

Really we enjoy the food taste especially prawn gravy and nattu kozhi kulambu fabulous they serve hot and spicy amazing in uae here only the prawn gravy was very tasty
