Konark Nagar, Jule Solapur, Maharashtra The original name of Sambhaji Lake (Kambar Talav) was QAMAR lake. This was named after daughter's name of Aurangzeb-the Mughal Emperor. But now this is known as Kambar Talav. It is also known as Sambhaji Lake.It is a great bird watching center with the many migratory birds found flocking here in winter. This tank was filled with white and pink lotuses. Best Season to Visit: October to February Best Time To Visit: Morning, Afternoon, Evening. Time Required for Sightseeing It is the most beautiful place in Solapur with Smriti udyan nearby.But not maintained properly by SMC and some ugly people of Solapur. Good place for bird watching & plant study More than 25 species /types of birds & plants can be found Fantastic lake view within the city. Nice evening time outing spot. It was good though , while mostly the garden area besides the lake is maintained but not that great as attraction spot !

This is best place for morning and evening walk, but need to be cleaned and maintained properly.

Better place for wildlife photography as well as portrait photography...

Dirty surroundings,drinkers,druggist,and beggars stay there, unhygienic place ,needs improvement by smc
