I Visited this place During Navratari, Cleaness and Excellent mangement system of water Temple top is made of Pure Gold. You have to wait in queqe as there is plenty of devotee arrived to get blessings of mata rani. If you want to go near mata rani statue please take dhoti in advance otherwise you not allowed however you can wear normal cloth just to get darshan from 10m away. There is also shivlinga on left side of main temple. A great amd deep reservoir. A lot of selfie point Plenty of space to visit surrounding temple. No phone allowed inside main temple however outside you can take auto. Just 950m away from Kanchipuram railway station you can walk hardly it takes 12min, use google map. Auto will charge you high. Please visit before evening because alot rush of devotees come after evening.
A small yet lovely ambience filled temple. From Adyar it took half an hour for me to locate the temple. Located in Chetty street at the entrance this temple is visible. Infact there are two temples opposite to each other, the temple on the right is kamatchi temple, while the temple on the right is Vinayagar temple. As you leave your slippers and turn around, a lady will beckon you telling you to buy grass for the Cow. At the entrance cow and it's baby is visible. Kamakshi Amman is the main deity, where the belief is She stopped by here before going to Kanchipuram. Also Vishwakarma built this temple. It's 500 years old. As the temple is under renovation, three shrines are open. During Aadi month kuzh(greul) is offered to the goddess while Thai month lot of Poojas are held. A must visit temple of Saidapet.
Pleasant Darshan. From east kanchipuram to temple Is RS. 20/-. Individual auto 50 rupees. From there to any other temple around 5 km distance only. Auto Rs. 100 maximum one drop is OK. 5.30 am from beach to Kanchi. 11.20 noon from Kanchi to beach. After that direct train 5.55pm every day.
Popular Hindu temple. Holy place, in the middle of temple a pond is available .surrounding is too good.must visit.location is Kancheepuram, Chennai...1 km from Kancheepuram Railway station . Easily can ride with auto and bikes .
One of the cleanest and well maintained temple in the vicinity. Kanchi Kamakshi idol is fabulous which is seated in lotus position, has a crescent moon on the head, and four hastas. It is said Adi Shankaracharya re-established the Sri Chakra in this Kamakshi (Thripurasundari) temple.
Better start early try be at temple by 8 during weekends to avoid long queues
600 years idols as per the staffs there. Temple under renovation but worth a visit
