I recently had the privilege of visiting the Kamakhya Temple, and it was an awe-inspiring experience that left an indelible mark on me. The highlight for me was the turtle pond, where I fed tortoises and fish. It's a serene spot that provides a delightful break from the temple's hustle and bustle. The only downside was the long wait for Prasad, the blessed food offering. But the taste was worth the patience, and it was a fitting end to a spiritually enriching journey. In conclusion, Kamakhya Temple is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a blend of history, spirituality, and culture. It's a place that stays with you long after you leave, and I can't recommend it enough for travelers and pilgrims alike.
After a tiring day at the Kamakhya temple, we spent around 15 minutes getting refreshed at this view point. There was a nice breeze and the weather and views were clear. There weren't too many people here and the location is very close to the Kamakhya temple. You can stop by while returning from Kamakhya. There's no seating or anything and it's at the bend of the road, so be careful.
So calm and serene up at the top. I visited last time during ambubachi so it was chaos otherwise it's pleasant to visit there.

It is a memorable place for me. In the year 2014, my son Salim Raja was preparing for the then ensuing HSLC Exam, 2015. I led him to the tution sir Sri Surya Kanta Deva Sarma for the Sanskrit section of M.I.L at that place. I used to enjoy Kamakhya View Point every evening alone and also took selfie of me.

Loved the view from here. The locals are not very friendly or welcoming. The religious people going to the temple litter a lot. Puja litter is everywhere. But it's fairly clean once you get away from the temple area.
