It is situated in Maligaon before reaching Guwahati railway Station. It has 4 platform now and is upgrading to more platform. It has lift as well as escalator. Drinking water is available for public along with rest room , washroom and all the basic amenities. The station is well maintained near and clean

One of best experience of a railway station, so pleasant and very clean platform areas. Also the nature ambience just amazing, well managed by the authorities, waiting rooms are so well managed and cleaned time to time by the staffs. Also the other staffs are very helpful.

A small satellite station supporting few important trains out of Guwahati. It is nothing fancy but sufficient to support the standard amenities like waiting room, vendors, escalators etc. (30 min cab ride to Guwahati's main station.) Update: Had a pleasant observation. A lady RPF constable came in and asked a specific lady passenger by the seat number "if she was traveling alone". (She had a chart where probably she had already identified solo lady travellers) she instructed her with standard guidelines against, strangers offering foods. Also informed the passenger that she can call RPF emergency number in case of any issue. She then took a selfie with her for her records. This was the first time that I saw such proactive procedure by RPF. I think I heard that down the track on some station another officer will check on her. I briefly talked to the officer that they started to do it for all solo female travelers for almost two years. Kudos to the officer who started this and those who are doing it diligently .

Beautiful railway station with huge area. It's near the famous Kamakhya temple. Station is cleaned and systematically designed and decorated traditionally. Rented rooms/dormitories are available.. mobile charging souvik are available in every needed area, wheel chair accessibility. The washrooms are in good condition. The station is still undergoing renovation work for a world class. Overall the station is good.

It's a small railway station, situated in maligaon.... It has parking area, and it has a separate parking area for physically disabled persons.... for waiting there is a huge area or lawn available and good tea option is there also.... Inside the station there is 2....3... Canteens also available so you can take a quick bite etc.......Keep it clean thanks

Kamakhya railway station is in kamakhya near guwhati, assam. Kamakhya is famous for kamakhya mata temple. Religious temple one of the shakti peth in hindu dharma. This railway station is look like new constructed. Enough parking area. Hill are around the station. Outer view of the station is attractive. Clean. Transportation are available out of kamakhya railway station.

Kamakhya Junction railway station (KYQ) is a railway junction station located at Maligaon in Guwahati in the Indian state of Assam. This railway station is near to the Kamkhaya Temple one of the shakti peeth of Hindu mythology, from railway station one has to visit the maligaon bus stand from there the bus service is available to kamakhya temple main gate per person 10/- only from the Kamakhya temple gate many taxi as well as electric bus facility available which take 20/- to 30/- per person to kamakhya devi mandir... The Dormatoy facilities are also available at the station for a time span of 8 hours per person where passanger has to pay 150/- for a bed and if the passanger wants single room it costs around 600/- per single room... At last I want to say that the railway station is clean and tidy and yhe train schedule are also maintained and the railway staffs at the railway station are supportive...

Very nice and clean. I was traveling from Puri to kyq and i was looking for room. I thought I will get a room from outside. But i found out that there is a dormitory facilities available in this station. And it was available in reasonable price. Dormitory 150 for 8 hours If you want single private room thats about 600 may be. Next to dormitory Jan ahaar restaurant is there. Food is not that good but they serve fresh n hot.
