Kalvari mount Dream Viewpoint - Tourist attraction in Ayyappancoil - Idukki, India

Mount Calvary is a very beautiful place, located on National highway 85. a place that can be visited with friends or family and kids in a short amount of time and at a small cost. There are seats to sit at the foothills which gives you the mesmerizing view of Idukki dam reservoir and greenish hills. It is more beautiful during rainy season and foggy days. Vehicle parking is available at the entry point, and from here it is a steep uphill walk of about 20 minutes to the view point. Tickets can be taken at the entry gate at the top. Jeeps are available at a charge of 200 rupees. those who have difficulty in getting up, can get a jeep to climb and come back. There is a snack shop and toilet facilities at the top, and 2-3 restaurants are near the entry point. Usually this place is little crowded in the public holidays.

The trek is fairly good, with some points being precariously steep. But the views of the Idukki reservoir and the surrounding areas are breathtaking, making the whole walk worth. The place is easily accessible by road. There's a small store at the point where the trek starts, which serves drinks, water, tea and snacks. Definitely a recommended visit.

A visual treat and heartwarming experience awaited us at the view point on the Kochi to Thekkady road, about 42 kilometers from Kumily. A steep drive up an hillock, off the main highway, brought us to the car park and a ticket counter. A short walk from the car park, and we stood mesmerized by views in front of us. Views of many lush green mountains, through which flowed rich blue waters of the Iduki dam, the water reflecting the clear sky. Such peace can only be experienced in serene places like these It's a must visit spot for great views, clean and fresh air and capturing pictures of this unforgettable experience. There is a cafe near the car park, for some refreshments, soft drinks & juice.

One of the best spots in Idukki! I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Idukki. Don't forget to take a walk to the end of this mountain; the refreshing cold breeze will embrace you. We also had the chance to feel rain. It's a very green and easily accessible spot, offering overall peace and tranquility. Please note that there are no activities available here, such as zip lines , sky walk , pools etc.. You will get good also here.

For families, there's an exciting horse riding option available at the top of the mountain. My son had a blast, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're from Kochi or Alappuzha, Kalveri Mount is an excellent choice for a one-day trip. The scenery and weather are perfect, and a touch of rain added an extra charm to our visit. Overall, I can't stress enough how underrated this place is. It deserves more attention for the magical experience it offers. Don't miss out on this blissful spot that showcases the best of Kerala's beauty.

This place is very underrates. But very easy to reach out. Tickets cost 25/head as of October 2023. Cars have parking fee. All less than 30rs. The fare is fair. Its not too crowded on sundays. Peaceful place.
