The view from the highest peak of Maharashtra is just mind blowing. One should definitely definitely visit this place.
I would recommend going on this trek only after the monsoon season or just before the monsoon season because during the monsoon the fog covers the view and its not worth the time.
It will take around 3-4 hrs to reach the top the trek difficulty is moderate. Start trek early in the morning 3 or 4 am and avoid weekend its too crowded in weekends.

You will get bus to bari village for approx 70rs at 8 or 8:30 pm
Or you can go by taxi if you are a group of 10 to 15 people for approx 100 to 200 rs per person
Note :- at the top its extremely cold so pack your bags accordingly. The fog clears at around 7:30 am make sure you don't miss the cloud bed view which will be visible after a few hours.
The trek is very adventurous. One side distance is around 6-7km. There are steel ladders in between the trek. During monsoon it is very slippery. The peak will be very cold during monsoon and it will be very windy. You must carry a raincoat. There is greenery all around. It usually takes 3-4 hours to go up and another 3-4 hours to come down. There are many shops selling maggi and other snacks on the way. You must have a good experience before you trek here. It will be difficult for beginners. The main problem is that, there are very few washrooms and changing rooms in the base. The best way to come here is with a guide or with a package. They will have local contacts and you can get access to washrooms. The route to the base camp is also very scenic. At one point, we spotted a leopard. Overall it's a beautiful trek. And yeah, it's the highest point in Maharashtra!!
Beauty of Maharashtra. Yet people destroy its beauty by throwing waste during trek. It's a 3-4 hours trek from the base village. Advice - Start your trek at 4 AM and avoid weekends and public holidays. Toilets are available till 40 percent of the trail, which are provided by few local hotel shops up there. Safe to climb all seasons. Best season - post monsoon.
This is highest peak in Maharashtra and the best time to visit is pre-monsoon(late May to early June weeks) or post monsoon to see the cloud beds[P.S. the crowd is also heaviest during this period]
This is moderate to hard type of trek albeit the view from the top is SURREAL
Kalsubai Peak
I recently visited Kalsubai Peak on 15th July 2023 with my wife and office colleagues. We had a great time trekking to the top and enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding area.
The trek is about 6 kilometers long and takes about 4-5 hours to complete. It is a moderate difficulty trek, but there are some steep sections that can be challenging. The trail is well-maintained and there are plenty of places to stop for rest and refreshments along the way.
The views from the top of Kalsubai Peak are simply amazing. You can see for miles in every direction. On a clear day, you can even see the Arabian Sea.
We visited Kalsubai Peak in the monsoon season, so the weather was a bit wet and humid. However, the rain made the scenery even more beautiful. The lush green hills and waterfalls were breathtaking.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience trekking to Kalsubai Peak. It is a challenging but rewarding hike that is sure to leave you with lasting memories.
Here are some tips for your visit:
Start your trek early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day.
Bring plenty of water and snacks.
Wear comfortable shoes with good traction.
Be prepared for rain, especially if you are visiting during the monsoon season.

Satisfaction on reaching the point can never be explained in words one has to feel it.

Carry water and food shoes if you are planning it in monsoon.
I visited in November 2022, and it was my 6th trek in Maharashtra. The winds at the peak were fast and chilly. We did a night trek, and it took us about 3-3:30 hours to reach the peak, just in time for the sunrise.
The trek is quite manageable, but it requires endurance. It may not be suitable for first-timers, but those leading an active life can handle it. The stairs make the climb easier, but they are as long as climbing 6-8 floors.
The view from the peak is absolutely incredible. Don't forget to try the pedhas available there for 25/- each and visit the temple. You can also enjoy a plate of poha, maggi, and garam garam bhajis for about 50-70/-.

Awesome place for trekkers but super cautious in the rainy season... however, during monsoon anyone can visit to experience lush green mountain-full landscape
