A definite must visit for everyone. The planetarium is very interesting with interactive models... you can find your own weight in different planets. The gardens offer an interactive fun zone and learning zone for planetary motions, lenses, gravity....related to physics and geography.... it makes it easy to understand motion of earth, moon and sun and various things that can be a little difficult to understand but when you see them in a practical representation..... it is easy... do visit it.

Kalpana Chawla Planetarium is situated on Kurukshetra-Pehowa Road near Jyotisar Tirth which is totally away from crowd, traffic and pollution of city. The projects shown are planets positions in zodiacs, time yantras, weight on different planets, time in different cities of world. Puzzles and Quiz on Zodiacs and Universe are also present. Biography of First Aerospace Women Engineer of PEC, Chandigarh Kalpana Chawla is also shown with images and audio & video clips which is very inspiring for young generation. The Astro - Park is the main focus of this planetarium. Various projects on light, time and universe theory are installed in the park. The planetarium is spacious and well maintained. The urinals and toilets are clean and odour free. Sufficient parking space is available in front of main gate. Staff is very cooperative and helpful. DISAPPOINTMENT - Many services like 3D film show and canteen are not open after COVID-19 outbreak even when the situation is normal now and various doses of COVID vaccines are taken by citizens of India. Kalpana Chawla Memorial Planetarium has been setup at Kurukshetra-Pehowa road near Jyotisar Tirth by Haryana State Council for Science & Technology, Govt. of Haryana in joint collaboration with National Council for Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in memory of India's first woman Astronaut Dr. Kalpana Chawla. A very nice place in kurukshetra The planetarium built at a cost of 6.50 crores covers an area of 5 acres of land. Surrounded by sprawling green fields and lush Astro-park the planetarium is ideal for those who seek to escape from the din and dust, hustle and bustle of big cities. The planetarium offers a blend of peaceful surroundings and astronomy shows run using latest technology equipments. In a very short span of time the planetarium has emerged as one of unique and most favorite tourist spot of the city. Good greenary also here

This memorial is divided into three sections a planetarium, a gallery and an Astropark.. The planetarium shows a 30-minute movie on astronomical world.. The gallery explains various astronomical concepts with the help of three dimensional models and charts.. A special section is dedicated to Kalpana Chawla, where pictures are exhibited from her school, college and NASA life.. The astronomy shows are usually run in Hindi language and special shows both in Hindi and English languages are also conducted on demand for groups. The way it teaches you about different celestial bodies and life of an astronaut is really impressive.. With a good show and interactive elements, it's a great place to go for both kids and adults.. The gallery didn't offer much to explore indoors, but the park outside provided an enjoyable opportunity to learn while having fun.
