Kalirhat bazar - Hindu temple in Paschim Magurmari, Kalir Hat - Jalpaiguri, India

On the last day of bengali month Falgun, the yearly puja takes place. There are many tales regarding this temple, goddess kali, its foundation, the gradual development in its fame. Local people treat the goddess as a rescuer from all dangers and ill moments. Interestingly local people from any religion and category come to worship on the day of puja - it captures a rare cultural harmony.

This place is famous for its Boro Kali Mandir and its big puja . Lots of people from far and also from Bangladesh visit during its puja . The people of Kalirhat is too good . They are mostly farmers and businessman . Kalirhat market is not so big. They depend upon Dhupguri and they are happy . I love this place.
