Located roughly around 2 km from neyyar dam, the kalipara temple is a sight of devotional and natural beauty The temple top gives a total view of neyyar dam on one side and Agastya hills on the other The path to the top of the hill gives a small trekking experience The temple has a small shrine of goddess Kali and lord ayyappa Feeling the wind from the top of the temple is a lifetime The place is less known to travellers but visiting this place is a awesome experience

Kalipara in Trivandrum is a hidden gem, offering an awe-inspiring 360-degree view that showcases the magnificent Neyyar Dam on one side and the majestic Agasthyala Mountains on the other. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking, and although the uphill trek might be a bit challenging, it is undoubtedly worth every step for the sheer beauty that awaits at the top and an unforgettable experience.. Kalipara truly is a place of unrivaled beauty!!

Steep yet rewarding climb. The sunset view is calming. Will go again. Went by car, thankfully there weren't many vehicles, found just enough space to park near bio veda resort. Ideal to take a two wheeler.

Man! The view from here is mindblowing, such an worth place to visit with minimal efforts it only takes 10 mins to get to the top u should reach the bottom by 6an to see the best view transition, the view of neyar dam is spectacular, absolutely stunning. No one is there in all my 3 visits, such a lonely nature full place to visit to calm ur mind, safer for family. Couples can also visit but it's a holy place, go in gangs when u visit in couples dont do something weird in holy places

Beautiful stunning and serene place. filled with devotional vibes scenic beauty. climb to top is bit easy. but be careful during rainy season, troop of monkeys are there so be careful of your belongings. no shops on top, carry water, but don't pollute the area, as its a temple premise also. best time to visit is before sunrise and evening. can see 360 degree view of neyyar dam ,it's catchment area and western ghats. donate and help the trust for temple activities. put your offerings I'n Hundi .truly this kalimala rock temple is a less unexplored gem for travellers and devotees too. must visit.

Great for a lazy evening hike. Trail is very short and simple. There is another hill right before you reach the very last segment, also a lesser know cavern like structure below the main hill can be reached by taking a right at the top of the main trail. Place is maintained well by the trust in charge of the temple at the top. Stunning view of various peaks of the western ghats, neyyar dam and it's wildlife sanctuary and the neyyar reservoir from the top. Avoid visiting during rain because there is high chance for lightning strikes. We were lucky enough to get some prasadam from the temple as there was some pooja going on while we visited.
