Awesome place. Must go there. Morning 10 to 12 and evening 4 to 6 timing. From Darjeeling more to illambazar road. 11 mile stoppage to guskara road. Just 5 kilometres from 11 mile bus stop. You can take toto over there. But I recommend go by own vehicle for better time spend. Checkoutmy clicks...

Good place to visit..You can go from 11 mile more..The distance from Bolpur is 28km. Kalikapur Rajbari: An Architectural Splendor It is a 350 year old magnificent mansion about 65 km away from Burdwan town. This palace was built by Parameswar Roy, the dewan of the Burdwan Maharaja, for his seven sons. Exquisite terracotta work can be seen on the panels of the gates of the Rajbari, which is surrounded by Shiva, Kali and Durga temples, apart from a pond and garden. The structure of Rajbari has been shooting location of many films, like Goynar Baksho, Noukadubi, Guptodhoner Sondhane etc.
Most beautiful place
This is a place from the pages of History .. when the Jomidaari sysytem was running in Bengal. They used to have a big Daalan ( a big gathering area in Bengali) for the auspicious Durga Puja. The architecture here is very unique as it stands as a signature from the Past. Still the Durga Puja takes place evry year here by the Descendants of the Jomidaar famiy ( happens to be my friend). A rich Socio-cultural place with historical significance. A two-hour ride on a lazy Saturday from Kolkata won't hurt anybody. Please visit this place if you are really into the thrills from the past!
Within burdwan district an age old jaminder bari. Huge house built by Ray family. To go to Kalikapur the road condition excellent and it is inside a dense forest. Difficult to locate from road. Have to use kachha road to reach the location. Went there during Durgapuja. They have two old terakota temple near the Durgabari. Can reach there from Budbud, Panagarg darjeeling more, Bolpur etc. Fantastic feelings when met the family members of Rai paribar and come to know little bit about this place.
Truly fabulous. Duragabari's architecture is tremendous. It is the real "jamindar" bari in burdwan .U can feel the past of west bengal here.
