One of the most prominent metro stations. The temple is at walking distance from here. Make sure to remember the gates from which u enter. There are several gates. Trains are very frequently available from kabi Subhash to either dum dum or Dakshineshwar. During peak hours these are heavily crowded and there even time where u may not enter. But for senior citizens and specially able there are seats which are readily available. Overall good and amazing .

Kalighat Metro Station is on the North South line. (blue line) It is located at the junction of Rashbehari Avenue and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Avenue. Get off here to visit Kalighat temple , go to Gariahat or Chetla Once of the Main problems is that the escalators do not go up to the ground level, you have to climb stairs. Overall by Indian standards, the station is well maintained.

On very rare occasions, ever turn up an opportunity to visit South Kolkata. I must admit that South Kolkata is much better well maintained, roads are wide, less congested and quite clean.
