Skandagiri Hills is a beautiful hiking spot where you can catch a breathtaking sunrise view. It's important to note that tickets must be booked in advance on the website, as only prior bookings are allowed. The trek itself is moderate in difficulty, but it does require a minimum level of fitness. To ensure that you can catch the sunrise, it's best to start the trek around between 3 to 4am in the morning. Don't forget to bring a torch, as you'll be starting the trek in darkness. The trek is about 5 to 6km and should take around 4 hours to complete. It's a good idea to start early in the morning to get the best views of the clouds, cold breeze, and the beautiful cityscape from the top of the hill. There are ample parking facilities available, but the restrooms are not clean and not well-maintained. It's also important to listen to the weather reports before visiting in the winter, as it can sometimes get too foggy to drive. Overall, Skandagiri Hills is a spectacular place to visit and is highly recommended.

Had a great experience, went on Saturday morning 4am trek which i really recommend if you want to visit. So basically it is 4kms and took around 2hrs to reach on top and had to get start from 7 from top as there is one more batch of people will start from 8am so its good if we get down by that time. Things i really recommend to carry: 1. Move spray/any similar is also fine 2. Water 3. Fruits Its a moderate trek and because of Bangalore weather rock were slippery, so chances are there to get sprain so its a must. Overall a great experience!!

We spent our 2019 new year dawn here. It was the best new year morning I ever had. Absolutely splendid view. Sea of fog, the rise of the sun from the edge of the mountain were at it's best on that day. One week later a few of my friends went there but, they were unlucky. other than the freezing cold, nothing else was there to excite them. If you have a plan to trek here, be there on the top before sunrise. Depends on the day of your trek, the sunrise time would vary. so check before you leave and try to reach the base at least 2 hours before the sunrise. If you are a beginner in trekking, you might be required more than 3 hours to climb this hill. others can easily climb this hill with less than 2 hours. Carry some snacks and enough water, you won't get anything to eat there and you will be exhausted by the time you reach on top.

Best place I hiked so far! Do remember there is nominal fee to visit. If you go early morning there will be a guide with you (not sure for later timings). Sunrise is worth every ruppe you spend. Best to have head lamp and go when weather is clear. Many traveling groups go there so you can book and forget about planning to just enjoy the treck. Due to moisture early in the morning rocks and pathway becomes slippery so be careful and have footwear with strong grip. Also there may be water streams if it rains. We particularly walked through the clouds!!!

This is totally a good place if you like to go for a night trek. Better if you start at 1am or 2 am. Trek route/way is actually difficult as it is almost 4-6 KM's steeped. Helpful if you take any energy drinks or snacks as you won't find any such over the top. There's also a entry fee of 250 per head and a concession for students. You need to pay through online which you will be informed while entering. Happy trekking

Adventurous trek. Reach the place before 8 AM otherwise you will find difficult to trek in scorching heat of the sun. Take 1 litre of water per person with you. Take brunch or snacks with you to eat at hilltop. You will really enjoy it.

Nice place for trekking and great point to see sun rise. The trek is of medium difficulty for people having sedentary life style. The total trek is of around 4 kilometres one way.

A beautiful trek through boulders. It is around 5 kms in total (uphill and downhill). It's better that you start trekking before sunrise. If not, while descending, you'd find it difficult.
