Kalari Kovilakam was a palace, now am ayurvedic hospital offering healthcare and ayurvedic treatments based on ancient Indian system of healing. This was the place where first Chinmaya Vidyalaya was held. Kovilakam temple is opened for visitors during the Kollengode Aarattu. Also, I've been here for few Violin and music concerts. It was a great experience:))))

Erstwhile palace of The Venganad Nambitis of Kollengode - Kollengode Kovilakam - is a must-see historic building. Now its "Kalari Kovilakam" - an Ayurvedic resort operated by CGH Earth Experience Hotels Kochi.

This palace is built by Kollengode Raja in 1904 and gave it to his daughter. In 1975, the Department of Archeology acquired the property and converted it into a museum. Now Kalari Kovilakom is one of the finest Ayurvedic retreats in the state of Kerala. Run by CGH Earth Ayurveda resorts group. Tourists come from far and wide to experience the effects of science of Ayurveda.

Finely balanced and deeply personalised, both my wife and I felt that it was first rate in every respect and plan to return on many future occasions.

This is the worst place I have ever been to. The customer service is very bad. 10/10 won't recommend.
