It must be open for all to feel the calmness of the atmosphere and the serenity where famous artists of India like Sri nandalal Bose, Sri abanindranath tagore taught. Kala Bhavana (Institute of Fine Arts) is the fine arts faculty of Visva-Bharati University, in Shantiniketan, India. It is an institution of education and research in visual arts, founded in 1919, it was established by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. In 2011, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Rabindra Chitravali was released, the four-volume set covered masters' painting oeuvre consisting of 1,600 paintings, from Rabindra Bhavana (another institution of the university) and Kala Bhavana collection, along with 200 paintings from other institutions across India.

Kala means art in Bengali. This part of santiniketan is dedicated to artists and arts. Opens everyday. Some time special show or workshop is organized inside the area. Famous Kala Ghar or black house is located here. It's the boys hostel of kala Bhavan students. Very famous and renowned artists works are preserved here for general public.

Here you will find the latest installation of the students with modern perspective. This place will amaze you. This place is quite and calm. For visitors with children it is advised to bring with you ample water and some food however, there's a canteen in this location which serves all snacks items but unfortunately it doesn't taste good.
