Kakkathuruthu Toddy Shop - Seafood restaurant in Ezhupunna - Alappuzha, India

It was an real nice experience visiting the Kakkathuruthu Toddy shop. Personally I will suggest it for tourists, food vloggers, travel bloggers who are planning to visit Cherthala, Alleppey. Along with toddy, a wide variety of tasty local dishes available We actually went to EKM fir some toddy shap food tasting, but unfortunately famous shops in ekm didnt had toddy because of some licence renewal challenges. Hnece on the fly changed our plan and headed to kakkathuruthu. The food here was amazing, we tried fish fry, pork , crab, prawns, beef, and kappa and porata too. It was all very tasty and prawns roast was ourlt of this world. The best part is there toddy was also real good. They have a big hall kind of room and then multiple small 4-5 pax huts and also have two ac rooms too. The one which we used was big enough to accomodate a group of 15 people.all these in the banks of river/lake. One challenge is car parking they dont have any place for car parking and you will have to park it on the road. This is a must visit place for those who love to enjoy the food with your family in an AC dinning room in a good comfort. Toddy is also very sweet and slightly pungent.. Only cash payments are accepted. This spot is situate in outskirts of the city.. An excellent destination for foodies who like spicy and non vegetarian dishes for those who would like to try authentic Kerala toddy. A lovely place to explore with friends and family.

Along with toddy, a wide variety of tasty local dishes available over there fish fry ,pork ,rabbit, crab my most favourite fish pollichathu and a variety of foods are available here. Car parking is less..Families get more consideration as it was 2 ac rooms too..I afraid,meals are not serving in lunch time.. We can have tapioca, appam and porotta instead of rice..My favourites are Kari fish fry and Pork.. The Porotta was too soft and live..You can enjoy the food with your family in an AC dinning room in a good comfort and the other individuals can enjoy the dishes in the normal Shapp. Toddy is also very sweet and slightly pungent.. Only cash payments are accepted. This spot is situate in outskirts of the city.. I went for an outing with my friends. It's a remote place and can be accessed through a local boat, already arranged by Panchayat. The place is surrounded by water and about 400 families living there. Sunset would be nice there but we had gone there around 11am. The place is calm & quiet.

Ambiance OK. Food above average. The fish and pork were good. The duck and kaada average. There are Air-conditioned rooms for family and groups. Good one time visit.

Good foods.. tasty dishes.. nice ambiance.. taking too much time for food preparation.. no fans in the hut.. some times too hot.. very reasonable price..

Amazing view, food and service. They'll serve you sweet and cold toddy. Damn refreshing!

It have a great ambiance. The food was so tasty and good quality aswell fresh natural toddy. There are Air-conditioned rooms for family and groups.
