Kaikondrahalli Lake - Lake in Bengaluru, Haralur - Bengaluru Urban, India

Slightly stinky but one of the better and well developed lakes in the area. Draws quite a bit of a crowd in the mornings. The walkway is quite well developed and has a mud as well as a paved trail. A variety of trees dot the periphery of the lake and they've grown tall enough to provide shade through the entire length of the walkway. The southern area of the lake is a bit marshy and is home to several species of birds. They nest atop the tall trees and it's quite a sight to behold. This area of the park draws a lot of amateur photographers. The western edge of the park is still being developed to act as a storm water catchment area. The new culvert might be in response to the flooding, the area saw, during the 2022 monsoon. As for the walkway, it's lined with sufficient granite benches if you just wish to sit and enjoy the lush greenery around. There are also a couple of hexagonal rest areas if you wish to meditate or do pranayama. The only grouse is the lack of any restrooms whatsoever. Other than that one of the best places around for walking or jogging.

Good place to walk and cycle around. But you should go in groups and not alone. Beware of free ranging snakes Maintenance can easily be better.

Koikondrahalli Lake is a good spot for a morning walk. While it may not be ideal for long-distance running like 15-20km (circling around 2km), it's perfect for a leisurely stroll. The greenery and natural beauty is delightful, with a touch of mud adding a natural feel. Overall, a decent place for a morning walk... construction is going on!!

I really really loved this lake an amazing place to just unwind and be in nature.

I have been here few times for morning and evening walks. It's a nice lake with birds and fishes teeming around. The mornings have been very energising here with the calm and peace it offers. There is a concrete walkway and a mud road as well here. In Jan 2023, owing to some construction, a part of the walkway is blocked. It's a long walk around the lake and usually two rounds would suffice for 40-45 minutes walking here. Car parking can be done in nearby areas easily during off peak hours. There are small shops for tea and snacks nearby as well Definitely recommend this place to anybody staying in and around Sarjapur Road

Amazing lake. But currently not good coz no one is maintaining it properly. I'm attaching pics that I took 6 years ago to show how beautiful it was. Now it shows what we humans do to nature

For morning yoga, cycling, walking this place is too good.

Too many memories in this place! Even after 4 years this place looks the same! Good maintenance! Lovely place to go for a walk with your loved one! Don't miss this place when it's raining!!!!!
