It was my 2nd time to this waterfalls, when I 1st visited last year in the month of October, the water was full and was clean but now the visitors have made it dirty with all the plastics around and in this year the water is very less. It is a good place to spend some peaceful time with family and friends with nature around. To reach the waterfall we have to trek for 500m to 1km
Currently the water flow is barely minimal and the place is entirely empty.. we need to pay parking and an entrance fee at the entrance itself.. since there's no public, the place looks very deserted and there are no shops either to buy anything at the moment. One can plan a visit after good rainfall over the week.
This is a beautiful waterfall located in the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary in Andhra Pradesh. The falls are about 130 kilometers from Bengaluru and 25 kilometers from Palamaner. The best time to visit the falls is during the monsoon season, when there is plenty of water.
However, I was disappointed to see that some of the idols of the gods have been destroyed. This is a very sacred place for us Sanathani Hindus, and it is sad to see that it has been vandalized. I urge the respective authorities to take action to restore the former glory of this place.
Here are some specific things that could be done to improve the condition of Kaigal Falls:
The destroyed idols should be repaired or replaced & the temple should be modernized atleast.
The walkways leading to the falls should be cleaned and repaired.
The trash should be picked up and disposed of properly.
More security should be provided to prevent vandalism.
I hope that the authorities will take these steps to make Kaigal Falls a more pleasant and respectful place to visit.
Very nice place, Nature lover will enjoy this place.
Recommended to visit in Rainy season.
It's location remind you as a movie set.
Very tricky and slippery rocks to reach at site.
The place is awesome. Hardly 1km from main road, one has to walk some 500m to reach the place. Difficult for elders, and kids to reach the falls. No maintenance. The entry and parking fee of about 200 is not worth. They haven't made any facilities. The falls is beautiful but the surrounding area is full of fungus, not able to step in.
It is a good place to visit once, but you need to at the right time, meaning if there is a good flow of water.
My experience was not so good because the flow of water was very less.
Also one important thing is to be very very careful of the slippery stones because of green algae.
The distance from south Bangalore (Electronic City) is around 120 km.
The charges for visiting this place is 200 RS per car. Visiting charge 100 and parking charges 100 rs.
It has a track of almost 10-15 mins to reach the fall. So for a person having issues with knees will be difficult.
Was good, plan on after rainy season. We went on jun second week but there is very less flow... but we enjoyed.
Plan according to monsoon. There's no water as of now. But the location looks amazing during peak water.
The Kaigal Waterfalls is perennial in nature. from the parking area need to trek down to the falls approximately 600m.Falls is seasonal so before you heading there check the recent photos in google map. Best place for one day outing with friends and
Update: August 20, 2023
Had a good weekend place. Feeling a bit disappointed today as we expected more water at the waterfall. There's not much water right now.
Maybe it's better to visit during the rainy season.
