Kaduvayil Juma Masjid - Mosque in Karavaram - Thiruvananthapuram, India

One of the biggest Masjid in southern Kerala, named after a Sufi Shaikh. The masjid and it's surroundings provide a Garden and calm atmosphere for visitors. Near to Masjid there is the durgah of the Sufi Shaikh and this is visited by many people irrespective of religion. Well managed Masjid and Durgah.

Went there on the way to Trivandrum,it's a perfect example of religious harmony as pilgrims and tourists from different part of the world throng this place in search of peace . It is believed that Kaduvayil Thangal, the Saint has miraculous power and it can solve the problems of devotees.

The Muslim Jama'at was founded about 150 years ago..About 400 years ago, the Sufis who came to Kerala ,name "kaduvayil thangal" for the propagation of Islam are buried here.It is a very beautiful and peaceful mosque .this darga visited and believed all peoples of various religion.. thats why The Dargah is one of the best examples of religious harmony in this place.

The Kaduvayil thangal Maqbara is famous maqbara situated near kallambalam.We get pleasure and happy when we enter the gat .Many people come to visit the maqbara .The maqbara is rounded with garden.The maqbara also blessed with nature. The trust under the kaduvayil thangal maqbara also have school,auditorium and hospital . They help the poor people.

This mosque has a long history and belief associated with travel and good luck. Almost all who pass by this mosque , stops by to offer a coin or so , praying for a safe journey and a success in whatever the purpose of travel was. The belief is sans religion and all stop by. Many travelling by public transport have the habbit of throwing a coin towards the mosque. While they surely can't stop by, I do feel itz kinda insult to both the Supreme God n money. Management has kept few men to collect such coins that is offered in such a way. Once in a while, this act also leads to accidents as bikers unexpectedly get hit by coins at a high relative speed For sure, this is one place where religion n caste has no meaning n neither do talks of of intolerance

Historic religious spot in kerala, especially in trivandrum district.many pilgrims from different parts of state used to here. It is side of Nh 47 between kallabalam and alamkode. A very big car parking is available near by dargah.
