Kaduthuruthy thaliyil Mahadeva Temple or the Thaliyil Shiva Temple is one amongst the three of most legendary Shiva Temples in Kerala. The Mahadeva temple is a must visit temple along with Ettumanoor and Vaikom temple shrines. The idols at Vaikom and Ettumanoor temples are believed to be installed at the same time by the demon Khara... In thaliyil temple we've both ettumanoorappan and vaikkathappan diety... these are considered as the replicas of Vaikom & Ettumanoor Shiva shrines in the temple, it is believed a visit here before noon ( ucha pooja) and is as good as a visiting all the three important Shiva temples on the same day at the same time. Visiting the three Shiva temples at Vaikom. Kaduthuruthy and Ettumanoor on a single day will bring prosperity and the blessings of Shiva. The mandapam in front of the shrine has on display a fantastic collection of wood carvings depicting the story of "Karthaveerarjuneeyam." ...also lots of mural paintings in the entrance and also inside the temple... The deity of Ettumanoorappan is placed at the southern gate in thaliyil temple and Vaikathappan at the north. Hence by worshipping the deity at the Kaduthuruthy temple, it is believed that the devotees will get the triple benefit of praying at Kaduthuruthy, Vaikom & Ettumanoor. On the southern side of thaliyil temple , an idol of Sree Ganapathy is placed. Deities of Dharma Sastha & Goddess Durga are also there at the temple.
Visited Kaduthuruthy Sivan Temple. It is one of the three temples (other two being Ettumanoor Sivan temple and Vaikom Sivan Temple). We visited all the three temples before noon. Legend says that,if we visit all the three temples before noon, we get the blessings of Lord Shiva. It's so divine.

One of the oldest temples in Kerala. This temple is situated at the top of a small hill. You have to walk all the way up to visit the sanctum sanctorum. As per the history the Shiva Linga situated here was installed by lengend Kharasuara who was in the form of boar, using his teeth (This place was previously termed as Kadichiruthi implies that holding or pressing down with teeth). Also it is believed that if you can visit Vaikom, Kaduthurthi and Ettumanoor temples a single day before the Uchapooja, all your prayers will be fulfilled. The temple itself has two sub temples on either side of the main shrine of lord Ettumaanoorappan on the left side and Vaikathappan on the right.
