Kadia Dungar Buddhist Cave - Featured Reviews (798)
Beautiful view of the mountain. This place is 1 hour away from Bharuch. The best part here is the view, ambience and peace. The best time to visit this place is monsoon. This is the Buddhist cave. Enjoy this place with friends and family.
Recommended to go on morning because temple will be close all the time . Only open in morning for pooja and evening Pooja
A beautiful place during monsoon and immediate weeks after monsoon. As usual let's start with Pros: 1) Not much explored , so natural beauty intact. 2) Roads are bad, but motorable. 3) Beautiful views from the top of hill. If possible go to the top. Fantastic views, must not miss 4) you get basic snacks and munchies around. CONS: 1) Be alert, monsoon tends to make steps slippery. A fumble can hurt you hard. 2) Hygiene is bad. Practically absent.
Located in Zazpor village of Jhagadia Taluka in Bharuch District, this is a beautiful place to visit since it is not much explored, hence natural beauty is intact. View from top of hill is beautiful. The roads are narrow and not so good, but motorable. Hawkers around hill sell basic snacks, tea etc. For climbing the hill, steps are there upto some height. But difficult to climb for ages persons. Probably this place has not received attention of Tourism Dept, so under-developed.
The place is really good, if you love to travel & explore hilly type place, you must visit this place. There is a two entrance but prefer entry from ashram side there you got good stairs. But Gujarat tourism not maintain properly this place. It can be one of the best tourism place of South Gujarat. I went for visit on this place 16 September 2018. Thank you Ghumte Raho
Good place to go with your family..it is buddist cave not pandav gufa..
You will feel like visiting in Mountain area.
Entry and parking is free. About 3 hours drive from Vadodara city. Appx 28km inside from main highway take first left once you cross bharuch toll Buddhist Caves locally known by (Pandav ni gufa) on the top of hill called kadia dungar. Appx 200 steep steps Top view is beautiful, takecare of climbing. Trekking shoes recommended. There is ashram on enterance gate, Mansha devi temple, and Gupteshwar Mahadev temple on the top of hill Its located in very remote area by crossing small villages. No basic facilities there so try to visit in morning. Small shops at enterance selling chips, coldrinks, water bottles etc. Best time is Monsoon and Winter.
