This place is very dirty and polluted. It should be beautifully maintained by municipality. We, the people of Krishnanagar should be aware about our heritage of this Ghat.
Undoubtedly nature decorated this place with her sophisticated art. But we have ruined it completely. Yes I'm not a citizen of Krishnagar, still I'm saying we as I'm a part of this civilization; the so called civilization. There's one thing, which is so ironical! In ancient time civilizations flourished around rivers, using its water, nature's endless gift. But now, we, the people of this modern civilization, killing our own root. How mean this human civilization can be? The sight, the cool breeze of this riverbank has the charm to capture your heart. But now near this Ghat, the navigability of Jalangi is completely lost. Waste materials of religious events are gathered here. People even throw PVC bags, thermocols, plastics etc. which are not decomposed and causing a thick layer on the water, which in turn making the water near the Ghat completely stagnant and the atmosphere filthy. You can check the condition in the photos, it's indefinable. A NGO 'Save Jalangi' is trying to capture the attention of Government for taking steps to restore the navigability of the river. But in vain. I think the day is not far, when we'll be able to see Jalangi only on internet. SAVE JALANGI.

It could have been a great place to visit if it was kept clean. The river is dying and wastes are being dumped beside it. It is due to the lack of sensitivity among people and poor administration.

We spent childhood to till now in this area at Krishnagar. It's very famous Ghat for Emerson of Durga & Jagadhatri pratima. We used to spent times in the weekend . It's a great place and now few modifications improvements going on for betterment.
One of the best*GHAT* of krishnanagar, near all Puja protima is bisorjon here. This GHAT was maintained by Krishnanagar Municipality. This year they created a sitting place along with some photo shoot areas and also a beautiful fountain. Now the place has gathered so many people.
