Kaas is a big area including Kaas lake, few waterfalls in Kaas village and before going to Kaas village there is Kaas pathaar or platueu where there are large open fields where during monsoon we get to see naturally bloomed flowers only for a certain period approx one month but the area is so beautiful that if flowers are not there you get amazing views, open green fields and view points of valleys. Place is a pure natural gem in western ghats with great sceneries all around. In Kaas Village area and beyod that you don't get mobile network. Everywhere it's calm without any noise. Fully recommend to have a peaceful time and experience.

"Kaas Pathar" is a popular tourist destination in Maharashtra known for its unique landscape and UNESCO World Heritage Site status. It is located in Maharashtra, near the city of Pune, near Satara and is famous for its plateau filled with beautiful wildflowers during the monsoon season. It's a great place to explore nature and enjoy scenic views, specially during flower blooming time in Kaas Pathar typically occurs during the monsoon season, which is from late July to early September. During this period, the plateau is covered in a vibrant carpet of wildflowers in various colors and shapes, making it a stunning sight for visitors. The exact timing of the bloom may vary slightly each year, so it's best to check with local authorities or travel guides for the most up-to-date information before planning your visit.

Kas plateau is a wonderful place to visit when the flowers are fully bloomed. Time your visit to the place by taking updates from the official website. Ideal time to visit is in Mid Sep to end of September as the flowers are expected to bloom by that time. Try to reach the place by 7 am in the morning as the place gets crowded later on. There is ample car parking space and bus service is run to shuttle you from parking to main gate. Nearby attractions include a lake and waterfall. Kas lake is around 2 kms and Vajrai Waterfall is about 7-8 kms away by car. For Vajrai waterfall after parking there is 40 mins trek to reach a spot from where the waterfall is visible clearly. You can get home cooked food near the Kas lake.

Kaas pathar is an amazing place, with lots of different flower species. But due to climate change and increasing visitors, these flower beds are decreasing and loosing it's charm. So I would recommend people who want to visit kaas pathar, treat those flowers with respect, don't trample them. Do not litter either, treat the place with respect and sensitivity.
