Small place but packs a punch with taste. Tried idly, sambar dip Vada, tomato bath and Pongal with tamilnadu style sambar and excellent chutneys. One can take a combo of any dish as in half bath, half Pongal and so on which is great when we want to try everything. Parking is a no no for 4 wheelers, 2 wheelers stand a chance. Old Bangalore vibes.
Good place for South Indian food. Loved the lemon rice. It had perfect amount of sourness from lemon and rice was properly boiled. Neither too soft nor too brittle. Idlies were soft. Both chutneys were good. Specially red chutney was yummy . Poori palya could be little better, definitely better than many restaurants who charge over 125 rupees for the same. Prices are generally 40 for most dishes. Uddina vade is Rs15 per piece. It's a self service restaurant with no wait time. Things are served very quickly. This place is for a quick moving population. People come , eat and leave within 10 minutes. Hence no tables or fine dining available. Overall experience : sooooooper
Best Breakfast around this area , Tamil Nadu style food , 5+ varieties of rice , idly , dosa , served in banana leaf , Available early morning from 7 , by 10 it gets over , parking here can be challenging after 9
One of the best places for breakfast in and around Shivaji Nagar. We tried Tomato bath and no doubt ,it was so damn delicious. And the tomato chutney served along is Next Level.Over all it was an amazing experience .Would highly recommend people to check this place .Apart from tomato bath ,they also serve Pongal and vada ,which again was very nice. Note :It is advised to go along on a 2 wheeler rather than a car due to parking problems. Thank you.
I went to KV CANTEEN to try some authentic breakfast they have awesome breakfast from pongal tomato bhath with tamil style sambhar just loved their pongal it was best in combination with chutney and sambhar Tomato bhath is little on spicier and masaledar side with lots of strong flavour of clove and cinnamon
Old lanes of Shivajinagar has lot to deliver. Tried Tamil Nadu style breakfast place in Shivaji Nagar at KV Canteen, Veerapillai St. Subtle Tomato Bath with Uddin Vade was something I came looking for and it was not disappointing at all. Perfectly cooked rice with good aroma of whole species and flavours of tomato was perfect. Combined coconut chutney and "pachadi" they called for tomato chutney was really good with rice and vada. I took half rice and it was for Rs25
Typical Tamil Nadu style food here. Enjoyed the pongal and tomato bath. Vade was over by the time I reached the place. Will definitely be back to try some more from the menu.
Another hidden gem. Definitely to go place for all who crave for south indian breakfast. Budget friendly, good in quality and great quantity. The best thing is got to be pongal. The rice being fluffy and soft, and with the flavoured chutney the taste increases thousand folds.

One of the older restaurants in south Bangalore. This is the original Brahmin's coffee Bar. Subsequently many places with same name have started in Bangalore though they are not related. Unlike most other places this restaurant has its own timing - 7
Best taste and service. It's one of my favourite places. Whenever we go to Yelahanka, this is the place we prefer to eat. I hope the employee name is Naveen, he suggests the best choice, listens carefully to the orders and serves as we desire. I reco
Love the crispy Masala dosa , their each and every items served tastes good . You can blindingly order any from the menu here . Also the person behind this hotel is a great human being too . Definitely have a word with him if time permits.
Must taste Soft , hot , tasty idlis , vada , shavige bath and hot aromatic strong coffee. Chutney taste took me back to chamarajpet Brahmins cafe . Good experience eating here at Aithal Mithra Koota.
One of the best filter coffees in south Bangalore ! Very reasonable prices and don't miss to have the Idli and vada with chutney ! The taste is unparalleled and also one of the few places open from pretty early in the morning. The vada is the best
Amazing tasty food, clean place, affordable pocket friendly. There is a love counter below for Amazing Jalebi and Jamoon. Superb experience to have a nice Dosa, Idli, Vada or Kara bath.
Love the ambience and the whole set up of the restaurant. Service was great, innovative. Found a few kiosks machine for automated order machines to make ordering food easy and hassel free.. To make the queues lesser... Food was one point below averag
