Located in the heart of Dibrugarh University, very near to the arts departments, this canteen looks classy with its beautiful structure. The circular verandah also looks very beautiful and it feels nice to sit there. But the food served inside is not that good. The chicken pakora milk tea only are of good taste. But I don't like the other items available here. Once in a week, we visit this canteen just to seat in the circular verandah, known as Juti circle.
Keep an eye out for Today's Specials. They are worth the money. I love their banana cake. The fish dishes are terrific and they make a decent plate of chaat. All items are affordable.

Quiet place....remains peaceful most of the time....you can enjoy some good time alone or with some good friends....food is also decent
Evenings here are blissful.
Jyoti canteen is situated middle point of 5 or department of dibrugarh university. These are Assamese and history department, English department, economics and commerce department etc. All of the students and faculties comes there for eating foods. Tea, coffee, sweets, rich, meat,eggs,showmin, sholabotara, ruti paratha and much items are available in the jyoti canteen. There are more than 30 table chair for sitting. And there is a japi in front of the jyoti canteen where the students take rest, discussing various matter etc.
