Very beautiful palace. Though the up keep hasn't been as it should be, the palace takes you back 1000 years with it's marvellous architecture and the associated stories. You can see beautifully painted walls and ceilings telling stories. Amazing view of the city from atop. Must visit. Book tickets before visiting the property from udai vilas. There is an old guide there at the palace who will take you on a stroll through the history lane.

It has 7 floors, which were build by different generations of the Dynasty. Probably this Dynasty had possessed this palace for around 1000 years. The art work is made up of glass which I had not seen anywhere else and that's why it is preserved for these many years. This place should be maintained properly

Review of juna Mahal, dungarpur (rajasthan) Juna Mahal (Old Palace) is a 13th century, seven-storeyed edifice. It is built on a high platform constructed from Pareva stone and its rugged exterior gives it a resemblance of a citadel. It has been elaborately planned with fortified walls, watchtowers, narrow doorways and corridors to delay the enemy for as long as possible. What lies inside is a complete contrast to the exterior. Visitors will be spellbound by the beautiful murals, miniature paintings and delicate glass and mirror work that adorn the interiors.

Juna Mahal was such a disappointment. Not recommended We managed to get through the narrow lanes only to reach the spot and know that because of some personal visit it was closed .Besides tickets are available at udai palace which is far from the location. I am not sure if paying rs 300 for this is worth it.

Good place, worth trying climbing @100 steps uneven and steep. Paintings are well maintained.

Nobody informed us that we need to take ticket from down side. Rikshawala left us on back door which was closed. From there we need to go by climbing stairs. After reaching upside we got to know we need to purchase tickets of 250 from down side. So we didn't gone inside ! Also do not visit in morning or noon. Found not a single visitor around place. So overall dissatisfied from our visit.

There was no ticket office and a guy came up to ask for 350rp and later 600rp. We couldn't get in... the place is dangerous as it is in ruins.
