Joy Guest House - Guest house in Calangute - North Goa, India

The place was very good, especially the owner, she was a very sweet lady. BUT the caretaker was very rude towards us, yelling at us while we tried to talk. Definitely checkout the place but don't speak with this caretaker lady . One star less of a review because of the caretaker

Awe Amazing place ! Had a stunning view of the sea from our balcony ! Location : Close to beach , 2 mins walk Owner : Very friendly & supportive Parking : Can park car & 2 wheeler WiFi : Free , Owner shared the password and experienced a good speed Food : Have a menu card in room , can order over phone Room : Clean & Spacious , toilets were clean Room service : Very good , every morning they clean and change bed linens & towels Its more than worth the money paid. We planned our stay here for a day and extended it for a week.

Poor and bad place to spend your relaxing vacations in Goa. Because, if you stay here, there will be no relaxation. Access to this place is itself problematic. They even don't have parking space. So, if you stay and hire a bike or car, then you need to first find parking lot separately in the vicinity, because, owner does not even try to help you in that. Even, owner arrogantly tells you that do not park your vehicles in front of gate because it is inconvenient for them. In addition to that, there is no network, there is no food service by owner or guest house. All they have is one hotel menu card which entirely separate entity with costly food. Guest House is not having sea or beach facing only one room out of all is having window towards beach, that's all! So overall, just think for a while before booking your stay here as it is not worth the money you pay!

Awesome location. Wake up to a serene beach view. One of the best view resorts that I have stayed in. Breakfast had only 2 options but the taste was good. Staff was good but there was no intercom facility there.

We stayed here for 3 days with family. The rooms were cozy and the host here are really good. The premises is almost on the beach. It's quite and relaxing and calm. I would visit this place again without a second thought.

It is good hotel , also u will have peace the silence and the sound of ocean which is 100 to 150 m away from the hotel . Hot is available for 24 hours . U have a TV in the room. We will get a fridge {Refrigerator} separate in the room a closet to keep things in it. They the rooms very much clean and nice. A good place to stop by . You can also find this cool sunset easily from the room .

*Pros* - Place was peaceful & it was quite at the centre of Calangute. So places to reach after/before Calangute was easy. - 9am checkin - Breakfast delivered in room on order after 9am - Beach was very near from the room (hardly 50m) - Bathrooms were well maintained *Cons* - Mobile Network was very poor (Airtel only worked with 1 point of signal) - Reception desk was not completely active - Main Door of room 202 were hard to lock

I was there tonight I checked out after a sleepless night. The place is not clean and it has lot of cockroaches inside the room. Pillows has bad odor and fungus. It has a indirect seaview from its two rooms but not from others. There was no good Airtel network in my room I got 2G internet in the place. It is not recommended place at all specially in monsoon. She replied below after my review though I wrote review based on the fact. Google map askes me for a review when I visit a place. I never write review to unvisited place. I was in Joy Guest House in room number 103 as per Google map record. Your location in out of reach by a car that is why you husband taken us using his scooty. I am sure you did not forget our suffering. I hope you will improve services rather than trying to misguide tourists.
