I had a different impression about Joshi Hospital, not that anyone from my close relative was treated here. But in general I had a feeling that this hospital was not good when it comes to treatment. My perception completely changed when my mom was here for her treatment on heart. Unlike other big hospitals where there is a lot of chaos and some weird processes, this hospital was easy to go around. People here also gave enough clarity on the process and how to go about it. What else you need in a hospital, right treatment, does not intimidate and easy on billing. I felt good.

In August, I had a minor injury that required a visit to a nearby hospital. I must admit that I didn't have high expectations, but my experience completely changed my opinion. The staff at the hospital was not only professional but exceptionally friendly, and they extended their warmth not just to me as a foreigner but to everyone they encountered. The doctors who attended to me exhibited a level of experience that immediately put me at ease. They were thorough in their examination and explanation of my condition, making me feel well-informed and cared for throughout the process. Overall, I can't say enough about the excellent experience I had at this hospital. It's a testament to the dedication and expertise of the staff, and it reaffirmed my faith in the quality of healthcare services provided here. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical care, and I'm truly grateful for the exceptional care I received during my visit.

Service is alright, hospital is neat and clean. Doctors are knowledgeable and are good at diagnosis but need to more vocal with the patient and relatives and explain the diagnosis and the course of treatment to the families and patients. The staff needs to be more polite and proactive considering that they are dealing with patients and their families who are already going through a lot of stress and needs to be more empathetic. Instead of showing their authority at all times.

Worst hospital horrible administration and staff only the sisters are superb. Paise tar adhi have astat. Billing section Smita Father and Karekar are superb and professional. The money taken for a super deluxe room is not at all par with the facilities and amenities in the room. New mamas are young arrogant boys with a lot of attitude and zero knowledge. The sisters are superb, friendly m, knowledgeable and extremely hardworking. Miss the earlier quality of Joshi Hospital when Mr. Karve was the CEO. Very unprofessional and horrendous experience. No seamless working.

One of the worst experience . . . . .very poor people management . . . .only running due to good doctors . . .. our diabetic foot surgeon had asked to get a sole made for the foot. . . The receptionists run their own business of making these soles. . . .but very poor service. . . . They took 40+ days to make simple soles that are available in 2-3 days . . And they won't inform you about the payment structure before hand . . .and will only accept cash . . .no other option available. . . .. for such a big hospital very poor service of not even accepting any other types of payment . . . Very poor service . . .even after pre booking an appointment had to wait 2 hrs for our number as they gave preference to walk in people

Joshi Hospital used to be one of the finest hospitals in Pune Central area, with some of the most celebrated yet down-to-earth doctors practicing here. But that seems to have changed... The recent experience was not good at all. A few red flags: 1) Without much justification, we were asked to get admitted into the ICU. When you have gone to the hospital with emergency, as a patient, you don't ask questions such as "why", so we simply complied. 2) Every staff member in the ICU was wondering why we were in the ICU. They were chatting privately among themselves which could be heard by us. There was actually no need to monitor the patient beyond the first couple of hours so it did not make sense to keep us in the ICU beyond the first couple of hours. 3) There were multiple visits by a physician to "examine" the patient. However, beyond talking niceties and telling the patient that he is fine, the physician did not do any examination whatsoever (didn't even use stethoscope). In fact, during one such "visit", the physician even forgot to come to our bed, but the nurse ran to him, brought him to our bed, the physician again exchanged some niceties and left. The sad part is that for each of these niceties (including the last almost forgotten visit), it cost us Rs. 1,800 per "visit". 4) Similar excessive charges were incurred for a completely useless visit by a dietician (we did not ask for her) and 3 visits by surgeon (who did not do anything - all work was done by the nurse). Mind you - the nursing and the related procedure charges were additional!! 5) I can even understand the physician visits and can understand that beyond niceties, they are taking a judgment call about the overall well-being of the patient, but still, the charge of Rs. 1,800 per visit seems excessive. Even in the nicest of the hospitals, this charge would be considered excessive. And it's not as if the doctor is visiting us at our home and hence charging high amount. We are at their hospital! 6) After insisting that the stay in hospital doesn't seem warranted, we were discharged, only to find more charges: administrative charges of 10%, no cashless facility for one of the most popular TPAs, and an additional hefty charge for getting the hospital's stamp on the insurance reimbursement form. All in all, I felt that the hospital has gone completely money-minded now. Perhaps due to increasing competition by more sophisticated hospitals, Joshi Hospital is under pressure to extract a much as possible from the existing patients. I don't know the problem, but I am very certain this practice was not right. I have a soft corner for such old reputed good institutions in Pune, and I deeply care about them; so I really hope someone at Joshi Hospital reads this review and internalizes this problem (instead of becoming defensive and ignoring it at their own peril). I will need to think twice now before going to Joshi Hospital as a patient.

Worst hospital. We wanted a doctor but there was no doctor. Just imagine you go to hospital and there is no doctor. Do a favour and close the hospital and close the hospital if you can't handle to stay at one place. Just stay at your own clinics. Some students and people come from far away to get treatment and there is no doctor on time. Super ridiculous.

Service in Joshi hospital is very nice. Mama mavshi doctors are giving their best. Starting from casualty to discharge process everything was very smooth & cooperative. Dr. Raghav Barve is best surgeon I have met ever. He has explained everything about my procedure to me. Each and every doubt is cleared by Dr. Barve sir. Ms. Ashwini mam Pro explained everything about the process and help us lot throughout our admission process. Thank you team Joshi hospital
