As frequent visitors to India we believe that John's Farm and Home is outstanding - as good as it gets. It is situated in an interesting district with plenty to explore. The farm itself provides a useful insight on local farm products some of which we enjoyed during our stay. The accommodation is tastefully furnished, the bathroom luxurious. Best of all are the lovely John family who lavish great care and attention on their guests. Joining them in their home for dinner was a most enjoyable experience - put the world to right and had a few laughs ! The food was delicious. An ideal introduction to India for first time visitors but equally a must for those who love the country.

We just came back from our first tranquil homestay experience. George and family were very kind and attending to our requests. The property is amazing, in the middle of pineapple, and Rambootan plantations. Our kids loved the bathtub and the bathrooms' experience that is open to natural elements . Would recommend George's Farm and homestay to anybody that wants a relaxing family friendly experience in a 90 year old property.

Our stay with John, George, Aynsley, and the rest of the family was the best part of our fabulous two-week visit to Kerala. The farm is beautiful, the room well-equipped and clean. The family welcoming. George showed us the farm, explained all about rubber production, took us to visit the village school, temple, milk coop, sacred stone, sunset lookout, and more. In the evening, we joined an extended family function. If you want to meet people, stay at John's farm.

This stay was one of the highlights of my trip to India. The guest cottage is like a private retreat, George and his family are spectacular hosts. We could have stayed much longer, chatting with the family, eating homecooked food at the family table. Cannot recommend enough. Zero complaints. Rooms are modern, elegant and comfortable

What an incredible experience tee just had staying here. From the minute we arrived, George (John's eldest son who cares for homestay) was so incredibly gracious and welcoming. The cottage is immaculate and beautifully designed (with a standout bathroom!), the beds were super comfortable, and the property itself, gorgeous. George will walk you around the farm, explaining the different crops and the history of his family on that land, and if you're lucky, he'll bring you to a spectacular vantage point to see the most incredible sunset. Dinner was a delicious, 4-course traditional Kerala meal made by his 90-year old grandmother!! (We chose to have it in their home on the property so to meet and chat with everyone in his family, each of whom is delightful.) And all of this in the first 5 hours we were there. Breakfast the next morning was a delight not just because of the food but the wonderful conversation had between us and John, the property's namesake. Learned so much about Kerala and their history in it. The only downside to our stay was that we were for only one night--truly wish we could've stayed longer. Definitely add this to your Kerala travel itinerary if you can!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Jonh's Farm and Home. From the very first minutes we arrived, George (Jonh's son) welcomed us with his wide smile that seems to never leave his face. He picked us up from the bus station in Thodupuza (only 10km from the Farm and very easy to go from there to Kochi or Munnar, for example). The Farm IS in the middle of rubber, pineapple and ramboustan plantations. That means that it is very green and also very very quiet. The rooms are lovely, perfectly clean and the bathroom is luxurious. The beds are also very comfortable. The whole family will welcome you warmly, treating you with delicious snacks, lunch and dinner. We have had very interesting chats with everybody, especially with John who Can explain a lot of things about Kerala or Indian politics and History but also with George and his wife who are very aware and curious of their guests' life. There are nice areas to walk around and John and George will be very happy to go with you and explain everything. Here Indian hospitality is not a vain word, they will open their table to you and you will feel like at home. It is definetly worth the Price, I warmly recommend it and really Hope to Come back again for longer

MERCI
